Wrinkles
A wrinkle is generally a fold in a surface, which can be creases seen in fabrics, clothing, or skin, particularly on the face.
Skin wrinkles appear as a result of the aging process, and among other factors that cause them are a decrease in collagen, genetic factors, habitual facial expressions, exposure to the sun or wind, and poor hydration.
We usually refer to wrinkles as marks of history and the intense experiences a person has lived through, and in certain cultures, wrinkles are even associated with wisdom.
This pair of photos I took a few months ago are of an elderly street vendor I found in front of his makeshift sales stand, who allowed me to photograph him after I bought some cookies from him.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Arrugas
Una arruga es en líneas generales un pliegue en una superficie, pudiendo ser dobleces que se observan en las telas, la ropa o en la piel, particularmente en el rostro.
Las arrugas de la piel aparecen como consecuencia de los procesos de envejecimiento, y entre otros factores que las causan destacan, entre otros, la disminución del colágeno, factores genéticos, expresiones faciales habituales, exposición al sol o viento y una hidratación pobre.
Normalmente nos referimos a las arrugas, como marcas de la historia y de las experiencias intensas que una persona ha vivido, e incluso, en ciertas culturas, las arrugas se encuentran asociadas a la sabiduría.
Este par de fotos que tomé unos pocos meses atrás, corresponden a un anciano vendedor ambulante que encontré frente a su improvisado stand de ventas, y que luego de comprarle unas galletas me permitió fotografiarle.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
