One Friday, September 13th, I had to leave the office earlier than usual to run some errands. It was insanely hot, around 3:00 or 4:00 p.m., I don't remember exactly. I was looking for a shady spot when I came across CAFÉ MORENO.

IMG_4807.jpg

Let me tell you, I was incredibly thirsty. I wanted something to quench my thirst, a soft drink, like a Pepsi or something similar. It's not my thing. I prefer natural drinks. I drink soda, but rarely. So when I saw this ad, I was very happy. It was just what I was looking for!

The prices were quite affordable, between 40 and 70 bolivars. To confirm this, I asked about the ad and was told that yes, they offered natural smoothies in strawberry, peach, coconut, among other flavors, and that they also offered cold brew coffee.

Cold brew coffee? Really? Excuse my ignorance. I need to see more of the world, don't I? Haha! But I didn't know anything about cold brew coffee. Curiosity got the better of me, and without hesitation, I ordered two, because I was with a coworker, and we sat down to wait.

While we were waiting, I started looking at the variety of photos on the walls. I thought they were beautiful, super sharp. At first, I thought they were commercial photos, just for decoration, and then I realized they were actually mine, because it turns out Café Moreno is originally from the city of Charallave, Miranda state, Venezuela.

Me parecieron preciosas, súper nítidas.

The establishment is located on Bolivar Avenue in the city center, across from the passenger terminal and the South Railway Station. It has very few tables and chairs, but the place is very comfortable. Its photos speak volumes about its people, about those who plant and harvest each grain that brings the divine aroma to our homes.

As I've mentioned before, this city is located an hour from the capital, Caracas, Venezuela. Let me explain: if you're traveling by public transportation, it's an hour, and if you're traveling by private car, it's approximately 45 minutes.

It fulfilled its purpose

It quenched my thirst, and I enjoyed it with all the patience in the world, without rushing. If I had any pending errands to do, I'd put them off until later. Everything has its time, and that was my moment to savor this delight. Perhaps outside, there was the hustle and bustle of the city, but once you're there, everything fades away, and you enjoy those wonderful minutes.

This coffee has only been on the market for a short time. They started in 2017 and already supply the various shops, grocery stores, supermarkets, and cafes in the area, which are numerous. That makes me proud. I wasn't born here, but it does make me happy to learn more about a national product. When I saw their slogan, I identified with it: "Miranda pride with the flavor of the people."

I find this photo so funny; my inner child was happy. The texture was almost like ice cream, its blended flavors were divine. From my humble point of view, even though it has or I saw that they added a strong coffee, it didn't feel heavy or upsetting.

Now, what's left to test is to drink the coffee properly. It could be a light guayoyo or an espresso so strong it keeps you super active, haha! Want to have a coffee with me? I'll treat you; I'll be your tour guide in the area. 😎

I am very happy to read your publication promoting an excellent local product, the place is small but cozy, the girl who prepared the coffee with dedication made it look appetizing.... 😋☺️

It was delicious! We'll have to do it again!

I haven't tried a coffee ice cream, but your description makes me want to eat one, I'll have to look around my area, Caracas is very far away.

Yes, there must be, hey, there's a coffee shop over there that accepts crypto, you should go and find out, and of course, try every delicious thing that appears!

I would be interested to know who I ask. It's good to know about those businesses to try a nice coffee or ice cream.

If you have the perfect guide, there! Ask @yonnathang, he should know...

Wow! This place looks spectacular. I imagine, judging by your face, that coffee was delicious, haha. Excellent post, my friend.

Yes, it was really delicious, although I confess that the tastiest part will come in the second part.☕😉

The place, although not big, is comfortable to enjoy that rich and special cold coffee. It looks exquisite. I am willing to try it if I return to those parts. 🥰☕

Yes, the place is ideal, small but cool, across from the passenger terminal. It's nice to have something tasty and calm before going home.

Hey there!

Thanks for stopping by:)

I'll admit I'm not too big a fan of cold brews or cold coffee, but I love the vibe of this place! Just gorgeous!

I never imagined drinking cold coffee, but it's delicious because it has chocolate or cocoa powder in it. The place is small but nice.
