Studies have shown that caffeine is a substance that is naturally present in some leaves and seeds of many plants, one of which is Coffee beans.

I have also learned that caffeine is a natural source found in coffee and it not only helps one stay active but also boosts one's adrenaline and energy levels.

From personal experience, I have noticed that whenever I feel down or tired, a cup of hot black coffee helps bring me back to my usual self as it helps increase my mood and helps me stay alert.

Coffee Should Be Taken In Which Quantity?

There is a saying that "too much of everything is bad for you", so it's not only in the case of coffee but also applies to other things we consume.

I love coffee so much because it contains antioxidants that help protect against diseases but that doesn't mean I will be taking it every second of the day. I mean some drugs that we take also have prescriptions and dosages written on them, so we can take them moderately. So I guess what I am saying here is that when coffee is taken in normal amounts, it's very excellent for our health.

Coffee can also be taken in any preferred way but I love my coffee black and one of the reasons why I like taking my coffee black is because coffee already contains caffeine which can be sometimes addictive if not taken moderately and I wouldn't want to add sugar which is considered more addictive.

One of my usual routines when it comes to coffee is that I ensure I take a hot cup of black coffee in the morning. Then sometimes, I do take another in between meals. What I seldom do is take a cup of coffee when I am about to retire to bed because I find out that I might not sleep on time if I do that, so I only take coffee at night when I want to stay awake longer than usual.

Of course, it might work differently for other people, I am only saying what I have experienced personally.

So to answer the question posed about cutting off or reducing my intake of caffeine. I can't cut off taking caffeine entirely nor can I reduce it because that would mean I would stop drinking coffee and I don't even want to think of it.

Caffeine is present in some energy drinks, tea even in chocolates. Does this mean I should stop taking all of these? No! I believe all that is required here for me is taking things in moderation and that is what I will keep doing.

It's easy for people to condemn the caffeine forgetting the antioxidant as well. I agree with the fact that too much of everything is not good so just like every other things, coffee should be taken moderately.

Yes it should. Thank you so much for coming around.

I admire your temperance. I have like 5 cups of coffee a day; even when it's black and with no sugar or sweeteners of any kind, I do consider I should reduce my intake to 3 cups a day, like a normal human being, hehe.

BTW, caffeine in sugar? Never heard of such sugar. What kind is that?

Nice read!

Hehe, I sometimes tend to take more cups as well especially when I am just in the mood to overdose on coffee 😄😄😄

I was thinking of how addictive both coffee and sugar can be if not cautious with our intake and I went ahead to write something else. Maybe I am overdose on coffee at the time 😃😃😃. Thanks for pointing that out, I have made the corrections.

I am glad you enjoyed reading my post, thank you so much for coming around.

Well, you got that right, for sugar is quite addictive. I remember quitting on sugar in my coffee for that reason.

My pleasure, dear coffee-friend!

Your take on the prompt is very levelheaded. When considering moderation, the point could be made that entirely cutting caffeine would be very extreme, since as you pointed out, it is in all sorts of foods/ beverages. A healthy dose of daily coffee works best for me as well! ☕️

I am glad you think that way as well. Thank you for your time here, it's very much appreciated.

Thank you for having me.

Moderation is the key. In as much as coffee has a lot of healthy benefits, taking too much of it leads to negative effects as well.

You may not be able to stop or reduce your coffee intake but you are also cautious and moderate on how you take it and that's just good 👍.

You can keep on taking it as long as you abide by the rules of not taking an overdose. What I heard about caffeine is that it’s not suitable for skinny ladies to take it often and also help individuals who wish to lose weight. I don’t know how true that is though.

You take it in the morning, in between meals and then at night? Wow, you must really love it. I take it only in the morning and not every morning.
As much as you love it, it will be fine to check if too much consumption of it has health risks, if it does you may want to stick to a more healthy routine. I am sure you would make sure of that. Even the energy drinks, I heard they are not so good for the health. A balance is needed in everything.

I understand your point, friend, coffee has many benefits and of course, you have to keep in mind that everything in excess is harmful.
Yesterday I developed a post talking about the benefits of coffee, I invite you to read it.
