My younger sister loves coffee so much, she would always tell me about her coffee adventure with friends and how they would spend time when they were outside and discuss lots of things over cups of coffee either in a garden park, in the office when there was no work and even at home with her girls (they were her friends, so she uses "the girls" to describe them).
Many times when she calls me via WhatsApp video, we could talk for a long time, maximum of an hour and some minutes as we discuss life and the word of God, and she would chip in a few of her latest experiences to me. While this is going on, she would be holding a cup of coffee in her hand and I would watch how she sips gradually in her mouth. She would tease me and ask if I wanted some even though it's impossible to send one through the phone. Lol
There was a time she called and coincidentally, I was preparing my coffee that morning and when she saw me doing that, she quickly got hers too and that was the time I could say I had a coffee drink with someone close to me — my sister.
I know coffee, by nature, is a social drink and it's always exciting to have such an experience with another coffee lover. Another time something like that happened was last year in December while we were home for the festive period. My sister had travelled down from her base to our hometown. This time around, it wasn't on the phone but in reality and together.
At night, while offloading things she brought home and as she distributed to everyone their packages, she brought out a small glass jar filled with coffee powder and immediately, she instructed our last born to fetch two cups of hot water because she wanted us (myself and her) to drink coffee so we could talk for long that night. I knew she had a lot to tell me as she had informed me already. I was prepared for this too but I didn't expect she would make the night one of the best we have had for a long time.

As she was talking, I was watching her doing her thing, mixing the coffee with milk and sugar. I was just so happy because there was someone who knew about coffee and its work. As we both sipped coffee into our mouths, she was sharing with me her experiences at her workplace, the kind of people she met and the flow with everyone whom she had met in the state she was in.
I was taking my coffee bit by bit so it doesn't finish quickly because I love the taste. Sincerely, I have never had such a taste of coffee before because it was obvious, the difference between what I take versus hers.
We did the same thing the following night, but not the two of us, the five of us. This was her idea as she wanted her siblings to come together so we could talk and share about our lives, how it has been for the year and our progress in whatever everyone was doing, not to forget, our concerns too. My sister got everyone to enjoy coffee while enjoying the night with each one taking turns to speak about life and what was going on in our lives. We spoke, constructively criticised ourselves, encouraged ourselves, gave words of advice and finally, said words of prayers for the new year. Having coffee while listening to each other was a wonderful night for us all.

My sister enjoys having a cup of coffee every morning before stepping out of her house to her workplace, aside from that, she would always make some coffee while at work as they have a particular spot where every staff could go in and prepare some coffee for themselves. She would always send me photos whenever this happened and the reason she does this is because she knows how I love coffee too.
The way she would describe her experience with coffee makes me smile knowing there is a coffee lover in the family and her way of expressing her feelings afterwards always surprises me, though I do understand her perfectly because it is something relatable.
If you had read my previous post about coffee from the last "Spill the Beans" prompt, I said we never knew what coffee was until when we grew up and entered the university, been exposed to the magic coffee does to the body was a magical experience itself which we ended up embracing. My first time having coffee with my sister revealed to me the amazing wonders it does while sharing lots of things over cups of coffee.
Just like me, my sister loves coffee so much and a lot of times, she still reminds me of her outing with her friends in the U.S. to a coffee shop and sometimes, they have get-togethers in the house with some coffee and snacks. The last time she went on a vacation with her friends, they all enjoyed time with coffee and getting to know other brands too. If I want to have a coffee drink with someone, I would choose my sister again because of how she feels when we are together.
