Hey, what's up, coffee lovers all around the world? I hope you're doing well! I'm back to share another coffee story from last Sunday. The Cinnamon Cup of Coffee has a prompt for Week 111 about some of the best coffee art you've seen recently in a coffee shop.
Last Sunday, my hubby and I decided to visit a coffee shop near the Old Hall of Justice. I had no idea what to expect because he described it as a secret coffee shop. I found myself wondering if there was a coffee shop hiding in plain sight. The journey from our home to this place took about 30 minutes because the road was clear and there was no traffic. We parked in a far corner and had to walk to the shop for a few steps. As we approached, I realized this was the trending coffee shop I had been seeing on my Facebook feed. It’s called Lone Wolf Cafe the hidden cafe in Cagayan de Oro City. I even took a video to show you why it’s so popular among the locals.
From the outside, the facade looks like a typical sari-sari store, and you wouldn't guess that there’s a coffee shop inside. I even knocked and said, "Tao po," as if I were buying something.
Once I stepped inside, I was surprised to find that the cafe resembled an old house that had been transformed into a cozy gathering spot with a twist. The first room was quite simple, resembling a typical cafe. Next door, there was the cashier where you could place your order and pay; they only accept cash or GCash. There was also a round staircase where you could dine, but unfortunately, that area was temporarily unavailable due to maintenance.
In the right corner, I found a cabinet door with a mirror. When I opened it, it felt like stepping into another dimension—like opening a door to Narnia.
I initially thought this cafe would be like any other I had visited, but everything felt different. The decor was vintage, featuring withered roses and an array of antiques and classic items. It was a unique blend of old and contemporary styles. The music playing was soothing, almost as if it were coming from the walls. I was surprised to discover that the speaker blended in so well that it looked like a part of the decor.
They even decorated the wall with green moss that blended well with the aesthetic of the place. There is also an old picture hanging on the wall.
Another type of decoration you wouldn't expect to find in a cafe is what I've noticed. I must say that these decorations look like scraps; instead of discarding them, they've repurposed them as part of the decor. This approach saves a significant amount of money on decorations.
Take a look at those withered flowers; they are also part of the decorations.
Yet another wilted rose.
A secluded room for couples, a table for two.
They also have a second floor.
There is another withered rose.
A very cute dog lamp.
Now, this is their workstation where they make the coffee. The barista is preparing our order; we requested their signature coffee: Glacial Alpha and Arctic Siberian.
We also ordered toasted bread topped with cinnamon and powdered sugar. The ham inside balanced the sweetness of the caramel.
Here is a live video of the hidden café. I hope you enjoy it!

This marks the end of my tour here, as we still need to travel back to Bukidnon. I'll see you in my next blog, and I definitely plan to return soon because I haven't tasted the food, only the coffee and snacks. Thank you so much for stopping by and sending lots of love!
