Don't say we never go to swanky coffee houses! Today, we surpassed ourselves by calling in at the 'Woodside Café,' which just happens to be ... erm ... a portacabin!
With the old saying of "never judge a book by its cover," we parked up in the car park next-door, which was free, so no complaints. My initial thought was that the café was a pit stop for motorbikers. I really like Harley Davidson and Indian bikes, so I was pleasantly surprised that both bikes were in the car park!
The café had been closed for a while because their generator had broken down, and there had been a change of management. I was pleased to see they were back open for business as I was really intrigued as to what it would be like. If the bikers liked it, then I knew it couldn't be bad. It was as I imagined inside very basic but with a friendly atmosphere.
The coffee was bog standard nescafe that you helped yourself to at the coffee machine. It was still a good strong drink though, accompanied by a veggie fry up. It was one of the best fry ups I've tasted for a while. I hope the new managers don't try and change things too much. If it works, then that's all that matters.
