It's funny how I planned making a post about unboxing my new Oraimo Earpods that I got about 11 days ago, but didn't eventually make the post. Well, things happened and here I am again, with even more things to say about it. So, I ordered this earpods because I needed a new one. The old one I had got misplaced by my brother's friend and it really pained me because it was a gift. Anyways, there was a need for another, so I placed an order for an oraimo earpod called Oraimo Rhyme. With the help of @starstrings01, I was able to get a massive discount on the product when the order was placed.
I was very excited to unbox it and the product itself was looking sleek and nice. I charged it fully before attempting to use it, as advised on the manual.
After charging, I used it and noticed that the play time wasn't as long as what was stated on the product, but then, I overlooked it because I thought I might have miscalculated it. Then, I faced the next issue with the left ear of the earpod kept telling me its battery was low no matter how much I charged it. The right ear was working perfectly okay, but the other one just left me confused--as if I was the one doing something wrong. I told @starstrings01 about the problem I was facing with the earpod and he sent me this YouTube link. The video taught how to clean Oraimo Earpods if it refuses to work.
A lot of people in the comment thanked the creator for the video because it worked for them. I was filled with hope and as directed by the video, I cleaned my earpods with a little amount of methylated spirit and cotton wool. I charged it again and to my greatest surprise, there was no change at all. As usual, it was on 10% even after the whole stress. Out of frustration, I reached out to the brand on Instagram to table my complaint.
I was then directed to a carlcare center which I went to about two days after the conversation. I had a really hard time locating the place but a kind hearted lady directed me and I got the place eventually. I tabled my matter to the Oraimo engineer and he tested the earpods. He experienced the same thing I went to complain about and I was waiting for him to bring out his tools and perform his magic. Instead, he asked for my printed receipt, which I presented to him immediately.
He stood up and he came back with a brand new earpods and handed it to me with a book to fill my name and some other information. I was very shocked because that was the last thing I expected. I had to ask him again and he just smiled and told they don't fix it, they replace instead. I asked him what was wrong with the one I brought and he said it is most likely a factory issue. I brought out the pack to return that as well but he told me to hold onto it.
I got home and charged the new one and fortunately for me, I am not facing the same issue with the new one. Both ears are working perfectly and the battery lasts long as well😊. I love that the brand was quick with their responses and attends to their customers promptly.
