As if they were looking for me!

Namaste!

First of all, thanks to @ewkaw for this amazingly adventurous #FungiFriday Initiative. πŸ˜ŠπŸ™

This wasn't part of the plan. Even I was jogging straight down a path with headphones in my ears, lost in a podcast, so obviously it's hard to spot a mushroom in the grass while jogging.

But this couple, holding each other's hands, met me right on my way, as if this time they were looking for me. Both of them were barely 6 inches away from my feet on the pathway and the grass around them was also flowing down due to which these milky white mushrooms were getting highlighted differently on the green grass bed.

Well, since then I have learned that identifying whether mushrooms are edible is a different skill that requires knowledge as well as a lot of confidence because if you get it wrong, your food can even kill you. No matter how good a mushroom seems to me personally, I don't pluck it because I obviously won't eat that and once I pluck it, it won't be edible for anyone else either.

These may be different varieties of mushrooms because there is some minor variation in their shape, but the cap pattern of all of them is quite similar. The dark brown colour from the centre is becoming lighter towards the outside and becoming white and I could not take pictures of their gills but they were quite similar. It is also possible that their slightly different shape may be due to their growing conditions or age.

Well, anyway, they were very different and cute in appearance and because this time they themselves came in front of me, I thought they wanted me to take their pictures. haha!

Now how could I refuse such an open invitation? So here are some lovely pictures of these mushrooms I took with my phone. πŸŒ§οΈπŸ’šπŸ„πŸ˜Š

That's all for today's blog.

I hope you liked these mushrooms and my Phone Photography! :)

Thank you BuzzBuddy!😊

You've got this @untilwelearn! Keep putting in the effort and you'll reach your target in no time.

Despite growing a little slow, I'm quite positive and confident about achieving my goals. πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸΌ

It is a beautiful find; it is very similar to the edible Agaricus subrutilescens. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’—

If so, they can produce very artistic-looking spore prints that will help validate the mushroom. If you place the cap on white paper and cover it with glass, you will note the dark chocolate print after a few hours (if it is the Agaricus S. )

This link below will give you an idea of the poisonous lookalikes.

Wow, this article is so informative. Thank you for sharing all this knowledge, I will definitely try to identify them with all these points but after the way you guys scared me the first time, I rarely think about eating mushrooms, apart from oysters and buttons. πŸ˜…
But I will definitely check this mushroom using the method you suggested because the confidence in mushroom identification will only come in this way. So thank you! 😊
