Fungifriday - a small mushroom that is often overlooked

in FungiFriday6 days ago

This is my contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw

In a damp corner of the forest there was a pile of dead wood that was starting to rot, I immediately approached the place. Because my feeling said that there would be beautiful mushrooms sitting there. When I got there my guess was right, there were so many small mushrooms growing crowded on the branches of the wood that were starting to rot. I was amazed by their charm.

The mushrooms were very beautiful, their shape was like a small brownish white fan neatly arranged on the branches of the fallen tree. If we look at it with the naked eye, this mushroom looks ordinary or maybe not interesting at all, considering its very small size. But when we look at it on the camera screen, its appearance changes to be spectacular. A small beauty that is often missed. Even though the mushroom also has an appearance that is no less beautiful than other mushrooms that have more striking colors.

It is a gerigit mushroom and some call it a wood mushroom, it is natural with that name because they grow on dead trees. If you ask whether the mushroom is edible or not. I don't really know. The texture of the mushroom flesh is hard. Usually mushrooms that have a hard texture are rarely consumed, perhaps because the taste is not very delicious.

Hello, dear friend @reachdreams, how are you?

This species of mushroom is very striking. Its fan-like shape makes it look very interesting. Another impressive thing is seeing how large this colony is.

Beautiful photographs.

Have a great day.

Thank you very much brother, happy to share this beauty with you. Have a nice day too.

Thank you friend, have a nice day too.

You are welcome, thanks!

Nice captured, but I have not seen mushrooms of this nature.

Thank you, this mushroom is small in size and grows on rotten wood. If we don't look closely, it's hard to see.

You are welcome
