Greetings!
I'm back here for this week's #FungiFriday challenge hosted by @ewkaw. Not wanting to miss this opportunity, today I will feature a species of mushroom that I found while hunting for mushrooms a few days ago.
I think this is an interesting discovery. How could it not be, because the mushroom that I show today has its own uniqueness and beauty.
Locally, we call it bird's nest mushroom, because its shape resembles a nest and there are eggs inside.
Or with the Latin name called Cyathus in the kingdom fungi is also called Bird's Nest Mushroom. But at first glance it also looks like a trumpet with a small stem and wide open at the funnel.
On the entire body of this mushroom is also covered with fine hairs and in terms of texture this mushroom is a bit hard, usually these mushrooms grow in groups and in large numbers, but what I found here were only a few of them.
I found it growing on a tree branch under a large, shady tree, maybe because the conditions here are quite humid this mushroom grows even though it's not rainy weather.
And that's my discovery in mushroom hunting a few days ago. I display it here to participate in the FungiFriday challenge in this community.
That's all for now, about the unique bird's nest mushroom, we meet again next Friday. See you...
