Fungifriday || I found two types of mushrooms in oil palm plantations

in FungiFriday4 days ago

Good night everyone ☕🍄

This is my contribution to the #fungifriday contest organized by @ewkaw

Today I want to show you two types of mushrooms that I found in the garden, even though the mushrooms I share today are familiar, they still have their own unique side and beauty that is worth capturing.

So this morning I fertilized oil palm plants which were only 2 months old, previously in this garden there were many lush trees such as tamarind trees, coconuts and several furniture trees, but to plant oil palms I had to cut down all the trees so that the oil palms could grow well in direct sunlight, apart from that I didn't burn the trees that I had cut down, I let them all rot naturally so that they become important nutrients for the soil after decomposition, yeah actually this is general knowledge for all farmers, there is nothing special about it.

The trees that I have cut down are now half rotten, this can be proven by the presence of true decomposers, namely "fungi" that grow on the surface of the wood, you could say that the current situation in my garden has a beautiful view, are you curious?

now let's go to see the mushrooms that grow on rotten wood in my garden, for this #fungifriday post I have prepared two types of mushrooms and I hope this post can help you to get to know the mushroom species more closely.

For the first one, I want to show you the beautiful mushroom "Coprinellus radians" which grows on one of the rotting furniture trees, this beautiful mushroom is famous for its elegant hood shape and its ability to emit light at night, while its slender stem adds an elegant impression to the side of the mushroom.

The Coprinellus radians mushroom has a yellowish brown cap color, while the stem of the mushroom has a pure white color, apart from that this mushroom is very fragile and will break easily when touched, so if you find them it would be better to observe them without touching because it will damage their unique texture, while the mushroom gills have a very neat arrangement and as if they look like slices of cake that were deliberately done by professionals, when I saw them growing on the wood of the furniture I was amazed by the beauty they have.

Following are several photos of the Coprinellus radians mushroom from various sides, hopefully this post can help you to get to know them more closely 🤗

not far from the first location, then I found another beautiful species of mushroom that grows in large groups, this mushroom grows in a unique way where they look like they are working together to grow without hurting others, this mushroom showed me a positive side about how to grow in organization, and you could say this mushroom opened my horizons about living life and growing together, yeah that's just my wild view and you don't need to adopt my ramblings ☺️

Are you familiar with this mushroom?

yeah this is a jagged mushroom or some also call it a fan mushroom because its shape is similar to a fan, this mushroom is popular with the scientific name "Schizophyllum commune" which is a species of mushroom that is small in size and has a hard texture, this is different from the first mushroom, if the first mushroom is very fragile and breaks easily, then on the contrary for this mushroom, the Schizophyllum commune mushroom has a hard texture and is very difficult to break even if stepped on by an adult's foot, this mushroom is resistant to all weather both rainy season and summer so they are also It is considered as one of the mushroom species that has a long life.

Thank you very much for reading my mushroom blog today, see you in the next #fungifriday post & have a nice day 🥰
