This is my contribution to
#fungifriday quratet by @ewkaw
Yesterday afternoon, I got an unexpected invitation from my friend to visit his garden. This was perfect timing as durian season had arrived, and we were hoping to find some fallen durian fruit ready to be enjoyed. We both rushed to the garden, hoping to get fresh durian straight from the tree.
However, after searching for a while, we realized that not a single durian fruit had fallen, although we were a little disappointed, the trip was not in vain. As I passed several langsat trees, my eyes were drawn to an unusual sight. On the trunk of one of the langsat trees, I found a group of mushrooms growing in a symmetrical and beautiful arrangement.
The mushrooms are white, stacked like a natural staircase that leads up the tree trunk. If I'm not mistaken, it's definitely (oyster mushrooms) the dim afternoon light shines on the mushrooms, creating a charming contrast with the soft green background of the surrounding trees. Soon my disappointment about the durian that I couldn't find turned into joy. This is the perfect opportunity to share this natural beauty with the #fungifriday community.
With camera in hand, I started taking photos, making sure every detail of the mushroom was captured perfectly. Every shot is an attempt to capture the small miracles that many people often miss. That day, even without durian, I took home something much more valuable: pictures of exotic mushrooms that I will enthusiastically share with the Fungi Friday community. This is the magic that is often found in disappointment—the hidden beauty just waiting to be discovered.
