The rainy season always brings happiness to mushroom hunters, including me. In Aceh, Sumatra, it rains almost every day, causing mushrooms in the forest to start appearing. My enthusiasm was stimulated to explore the forest, because every time it rains, there are always mushrooms that grow with different beauty.
That afternoon, I decided to go to the forest with great enthusiasm. However, after exploring the area around the big trees for some time, I still couldn't find what I was looking for. Tiredness began to set in, and I decided to rest for a while while enjoying a cigarette. After that, I continued my journey with high hopes.
On the way home, while walking beside the path, I saw a tree that had been burned. Under the remains of that tree, I finally found a bunch of beautiful mushrooms. The reddish color, or perhaps more precisely pink, makes my eyes stunned. This is the first time I have found this many and beautiful mushrooms growing in one place.
With a heart full of excitement, I immediately prepared my photography equipment and started taking some close-up photos of this mushroom. I believe this mushroom is still in the Mycena family, but the unique color really makes it stand out. After I was satisfied taking photos from various angles, I decided to immediately go home because it started to rain again.
I am very happy to be able to share the results of this fungal discovery in my beloved Fungi Friday community. Hopefully friends also enjoy the beauty of this mushroom as much as I do!
