There is a photo contest by @friendlymoose called POBphotocontest.
Every week on Sunday a new round starts and the motto is announced.
To participate, you have to publish a post according to the theme, then leave a comment and a link in the contestpost and use the tag #pobphotocontest.
There are POB tokens to be won, which will be distributed as rewards for the published post.
Also @good-karma has donated Ecency points for the winners.
So it's worth joining in there.
This week's theme is old and here is my contribution.
The topic is perfect for me.
We have a somewhat unusual hotel. As we can't afford to keep buying new furniture, we use a lot of antique items and furniture.
At the same time, these are also beautiful decorative pieces.
When the theme for the contest came out, I didn't know which piece to choose.
So I went to our cellar and rummaged around.
But one of the best pieces hangs in our palace. A goblin.
We got it from an auction. Actually, such pieces hang in museums or old castles, because with a width of 4 meters and a height of 3 meters, you usually have problems hanging them in your private rooms.
It's not as expensive as you might think. It always depends on the condition.
The correct estimate for the age of the carpet alone would be more expensive than the purchase price.
An expert once guessed the 15th century without examining it.
It is already faded and would actually have to be restored. But that would mean a multiple of the purchase price and is not necessary for our purposes.
The good piece hangs in our stairwell and is an eye-catcher for guests in the bridal suite.
Among other things, there's an old chair next to it.
And a few other old paintings in the same stairwell. A bit like a ghost castle.
I hope you like my selection of old things.
