Currently I am in Luxembourg and I have car problems again...
Yes it very cool to own an old camper van but old will break down eventually.
This time it is e relay fuse that controls the engine cooling. The cooling vans no longer run. Normally when you go in a straight line ore down hill that is still doable because of the airflow but up hill and with the temperatures of today, 35 Celsius, that is a bigger problem.
I first tried to find a new part myself. I was standing on a supermarket parking lot and I asked a couple of dutch people if they wanted to help me. I needed a lift to a car part shop but all 5 people I asked didn't want to help me. It was just a 15 minute drive but they were all so called busy.
So I called the dutch car trouble alarm number and there response was to send a car like this to pick me up and drop me off where ever I wanted.
Of course he looked at the relay fuse if that really was the problem and he told me that I was right.
Happy travels in the front of the tow truck.
But to bad, in this town I have visited 3 car and part shops but non of them had one laying around. But the last one told me that in a village near by there was a shop that could order it for me so that I could pic it up tomorrow. Guess what, it is in the same town that the tow truck picked me up...
Now I am waiting for the weather to cool down and the traffic to get less busy, I don'want to end up in a traffic jam because my engine will boil immediately. So I will leave here tonight and find a place to sleep close to the store who ordered the part.
