Very cool post. I honestly had forgotten about him completely, but it's been years since I was studying electrical physics. The solenoid is such an important device, our world wouldn't work without them. They are in everything. I just had to switch one out in my sprinkling system in my garden as a matter of fact. Well done!

Thank you for your kind words. A solenoid (which is a wound coil) is one of the most common forms of inductance and can be used as an “L” in an LC circuit. I think the solenoid is something wonderful, when an electric current passes through it, it generates a magnetic field similar to that of a magnet. As for Guglielmo Marconi, he was a very important person in Italy, one of the most important universities in Italy is named after him. !PGM
