The weekend is upon us once again. I always like to start off my Saturday mornings in the back yard and enjoy some good coffee. Today it was a bit chilly, but nothing a light jacket couldn't remediate. I really enjoy this time of year in southern California, when the temperature is just about perfect all the time. Unless it decides to rain...
Some nine months ago now I joined the Saturday Savers group here on Hive. A couple of my friends had joined in which piqued my interest. Since then I have found that it has helped me accomplish my saving goals here on Hive at a much faster rate. Simply examining where I am each week and making adjustments has really made a difference.
One of my biggest problems that I have run into is that there are more projects that I would like to invest in than I can really afford. I do adjust my strategy on a week to week basis, and in my Saturday post I tend to alternate projects in and out. It doesn't mean that I don't like a project not listed that week, I just like to share other interesting ideas weekly as to avoid being overly repetitive.
Let's get started!
Hive Power
The primary goal I have set for this year was to reach 10,000 staked HP. I really want to make it to 12,000 HP, but first I have to make it to the first benchmark of 10K. I have increased my HP by 106 this week and currently have 7,364 staked Hive. If I continue to earn 100 HP per week on average for the next 27 weeks that will more than exceed the current goal. I am planning on converting more HBD to Hive to speed up the process, thus giving me a better chance of surpassing the initial goal.
Currently I am 73.6% of the way to 10,000 HP!
PIMP
This year's secondary goal is to reach 50K staked PIMP. I wanted to achieve this last year but it just didn't happen, so I'm not failing this time around! I picked up a about three thousand tokens this week as part of my push towards the goal. As of this morning I have 40,158 PIMP, I am at 80.3% of the final goal. Hopefully I will be able to pick up a few more nice chunks and hit the goal in the next few weeks allowing me to focus more on other projects.
This is a great token that is backed by physical silver in the PIMP vault as well as by Bitcoin. I'm not aware of any other projects here that can make that claim!
CCD
The CryptoCompany Dollar is the token created by @powerpaul as part of his CryptoCompany project. He is building various games of which Bro Bang is already live. It's a play to earn and the earning can be quite nice. One of the biggest new benefits he offers in the ability to claim HSBI for staking CCD tokens. At one million staked you can claim an HSBI daily, at 500,000 you can claim one twice a week, and at 100,000 you can claim one monthly. I currently have just over 500,000 tokens staked but plan to push slowly towards one million.
As a bonus you can also burn tokens to receive curations on your posts. However, priority for votes goes to those who have around 500K staked CCD and delegate HP towards the project. Once mana runs low the votes stop and CCD returned to those who didn't get curated.

DUO
Every week I go over this little project which is my favorite of them all. I might be a touch biased since I did help create it. It's going to be coming up on a year now since I started this token along with @bitcoinman and @bulliontools . We saw a void in the ecosystem which is recruiting and retaining new talent. Not just people here to milk Hive, but those who want to build accounts and strengthen Hive.
To do this our goal is to accumulate enough HP that a portion can be allotted to curate and reward new members. We are actively looking to collaborate with other curating projects who share our vision. Not only that, but to create a Hive school to teach these new members how to succeed and build wealth here on Hive. Right now we have 37,985 HP in the curation account and are actively starting to build the school and recruiting some new talent.
DUO takes great pride in taking care of our investors and they receive the lions share of the benefits. Once you have 200 staked tokens you can receive a daily curation on your quality posts and receive daily liquid Hive dividends. Once you stake more than 500 DUO you also can use the DUO tip call to tip someone with some DUO, and in return you get the same amount of DUO in your account. It pays to tip others with DUO!
I currently have just over 1,400 total DUO. As part of the DUO token team we all agreed to only stake 700 DUO each at the beginning to ensure the majority of dividends go to our investors. My stake is about 38.3 DUO higher now from just tips, so tips in DUO can be substantial and make sure to use them if you have over 500 staked DUO. Also the DUO team does not currently receive curations on our posts to ensure that our stakers receive the best curations possible.

This is a token I have been slowly buying up every week, I'm up to 20 at the moment. It's a project designed to offer support to military veterans from around the world both here on Hive and in the real world. The scars of war are very real, and for many of us the phycological ones can be as bad or worse than the physical ones. It's a great way to help out by just holding some tokens, plus as a bonus, you receive daily liquid Hive as a token holder. Dividends are always a huge bonus!
BBH and BBHO
These are the brain children of @bradleyarrow . BBH is a tipping token that pays a weekly drip of tokens to holders depending on how many you hold. I currently hold 50K of these and it gives me 50 daily tips which I never exhaust. I also give this away every week in my Sunday giveaway, so feel free to enter for a chance to win some free BBH!
BBHO another great token that pays out more tokens on a weekly basis depending on how many you hold. At 2K is even gives out some DUO! I have a soft goal on this to reach 6K total this year, and I'm reasonably sure I will make 5K very easily! I currently have about 3,240 of these already in my wallet.
EDSI
I'm still working towards a goal of 200 of these tokens by year's end. I'm at 120 right now and have a buy order in presently. These offer a daily curation as well as liquid Hive dividends, both things that I really like to receive. I do need to pick up my buying every week to ensure I make it to the finish line on this one!
POB
Proof of Brain token is one that I earn from my posts I am staking and then delegating them to pob.voter. In return once a week I receive a liquid Hive dividend from them, which is always welcome. I currently have delegated out 1,432 POB tokens. The liquid Hive received isn't huge, but in the long term scheme of things it's free and who doesn't love free Hive?
Silver
Silver has shown some renewed strength in prices this week. $35 is looking very likely before too much longer, and then maybe even $40? Precious metals are performing really well with all of the economic uncertainty in the world right now along with the ongoing wars. They are a great way to build and maintain wealth as they will always have value!
