Hello everyone, I hope everything is going well in your life and you are having a wonderful day. Scholar Showcase tournaments are hosted by the SPS DAO and are free to participate in. In Scholar Showcase tournaments we can use all the cards allowed, whether they are in your deck or not, which is really a great opportunity for all players. If you have time, I highly recommend you to participate the Scholar Showcase tournaments, you can both experience all the cards and show your skills.
I've participated in all the Scholar Showcase tournaments and to be honest, I'm a Splinterlands addict. I never miss an opportunity to play more and gain more experience.
The Scholar Showcase: Adept Wild tournament started yesterday and the first round was completed a few hours ago. Also, the Scholar Showcase: Intermediate Modern and Scholar Showcase: Intermediate Wild tournaments also started a few hours ago. I have to fight 33 battles in about 24 hours, that is, until the rounds expire, so today seems like it's going to be a long and very fun day for me.
To be honest, the battles are much tougher than I expected, which clearly shows that the interest in the tournaments is quite high and the players have a strong desire to win. In my first tournament, Scholar Showcase: Adept Wild, I entered 11 battles and won 9 and lost 2. In fact, I could have won the 2 battles I lost, but I was inexperienced and my opponents had a very good strategy. It was the first time I had the chance to use so many cards so I was a bit excited but I soon got over it and focused on winning my other battles and as a result I won 9 of them even though I lost 2 of them. In the first round I scored 27 points and now I am in 18th place and in the second round I will fight 11 more battles and now I am more experienced in using all the cards and my goal is to win all 11 battles.
By the way, I used the Sea Monster card the most in the Scholar Showcase: Adept Wild tournament and it is a really amazing card. The Sea Monster is really powerful, and having the Heal ability makes it even stronger, and it's not easy to both survive its attacks and defeat it. Despite costing 8 mana, it can do great things even in low mana battles. I'll talk about one of my battles in the tournament as an example
Low mana battles are really hard, at least for me, but this battle clearly showed that when I have a card like Sea Monster, low mana battles won't be so hard for me.
Sea Monster showed a great performance in the battle, destroying one enemy per round and destroying all enemies in 6 rounds, bringing victory to the team. I think that using Sea Monster with Possibilus the Wise could work incredibly well, I will definitely test this combination when I get the chance.
Its high health, attack power and Heal Ability make him very powerful and can remain very strong against many units in battles, so I loved Sea Monster. I don't have the Sea Monster card, but I've added it to the list of cards I'm going to buy. When I looked at the market, I saw that a copy costs about $0.08, which surprised me, I honestly didn't expect it to be so cheap. If it was available in Modern, I would immediately buy the level 6 Sea Monster card, but I will buy it anyway because it will help my team a lot in Wild and Survival.
Scholar Showcase tournaments are really cool and a great opportunity for all players to experience all the cards and show their skills.
