Hello and Namaste Everyone
Navaratri is a Hindu festival in India and its meaning is Nine nights. It's a festival celebrated twice yearly; people fast and worship the goddess Durga. I have also taken the Google definition and shared it below for you to understand if you are unaware. It's a festival celebration for 9 days and I don't fast for all 9 days but I do the first and last day of the Navratri. I also worship at home every day but try to visit the temple once at least or maybe more if possible. Temple from my house is not so near so it takes time and this is why I try to visit once.
Navratri is a Hindu festival that celebrates the divine feminine and the victory of good over evil:
This Sunday was the day to visit the temple and I knew that it was going to be a crowded place. On Sunday a lot of people visit the temple and because of that, I had to deal with traffic also on the way.
There was queue management and the staff was there which is good. I generally don't like to visit places that are crowded but I had no other choice because I wanted to visit the temple and the weekend is the best time for me. If I don't go there on the weekend then it might not be possible for me to visit during weekdays and that is why I decided to deal with the problem whatever it is. I had to spend a lot of time on the way because of the heavy traffic and also I had to wait there a lot to get inside.
Inside the temple it looked like everyone was here on the same day but as I said more or less this is the same situation for the weekend no matter what time you visit the place. I tried visiting in the morning because generally people during the weekend avoid the morning schedule but still there was so much crowd and now can you imagine how things will be in the daytime or in the evening? Good that I went there in the morning so I had to deal with less crowd which is not less but it is fine.
This was the entry gate and you could see how people were standing outside for the entry and it was very crowded. Everyone wanted to visit the temple and because it was Sunday that was another reason why more people came. The temple is open 24 by 7 during the festival but still, you will find less or more crowd every time.
Now my visit to this festival is done and I will not be visiting during the Navratri Festival anymore. They will Later on I will try to visit the place when it is less crowded and I will try to visit in the morning which I think could be a good time to visit the temple as well as to avoid the unnecessary traffic and crowd in the temple.
Happy Navratri to you all
Thank you so much
