Some molecules of the liquid evaporate and become vapor, but at the same time, some vapor molecules return to the liquid (condense).
When the number of molecules that evaporate is equal to those that condense, equilibrium is reached. Here we come to explain vapor pressure, in fact now we can say that the pressure exerted by that vapor in equilibrium is called vapor pressure.
