Happy Valentine's Day everyone especially to my dear lifescapers! The above photo shows our simple preparation last night. Since everyone is busy from their respective working places (including me) we only manage to meet at night.
Despite the heavy traffic, my daughter has to rush home since she fully knows well that her baby is waiting for his 'dede' since he's breastfed. This means that there's no chance to dilly-dally because baby Jairus is waiting for his ration.:) From her hospital duty with her clinical students, she still managed to grab a flower for me. Simple as if may, it's filled with love and affection. Her baby was recently hospitalized due to consistent high fever. My heart feels for her and you could just imagine the stress she'd been through from the house to the hospital. She needs to double time she's handling her clinical practitioners.
Oh well, actually it's one of my research studies about clinical instructors coping mechanism in clinical working places. Family matters is one even among students but that's the reality of life.
Anyhow, Antonia's mom had some food delivered at home even though she's in Cebu.
Sisig is a popular food as main dish or as side dish for snacks or over a bottle of brandy regardless of age. It's made of pig's face mask and grilled before stir frying with lots of spices and creamy cheese.
Chicken Inasal is every Pinoy's all-time favorite too!
This boneless fried bangos is also best when grilled. I often buy this deboned bangus because of its multiple sharp tiny bones. It's really yummy!
It's supposed to be pizza but since it was already time for dinner when my son-in-law arrived, we opted to buy chicken inasal, sisig and fried boneless bangus. All of which are our favorites so we are with gusto! Our baby is not allowed to be exposed outside for 1 week. Therefore, that's all we can do for now.
There's always time for the right timing where we can share our special moments. My youngest son planned to take a visit by the weekend since it's holiday in the US on Monday and that will be the time when they too, can take a break at the call center. My grandson will be coming too. Hopefully there will be no hassles since we seldom get together due to our work barriers. Antonia's mom will be going back the following week as well.
In times like this, I couldn't avoid my emotions to feel weary of missing my eldest daughter and eldest son. I missed them terribly! I could relate to @diosarich's sudden death of her dear son just recently but there's nothing we can do otherwise because we can't fathom God's plan for us neither are we that prepared to face what's instilled for us. All I can say is thank God for all the blessings He had bestowed upon us and thanking Him further for the borrowed life of my two kids.
All in all, it was a wonderful dinner with my love ones.
This is all for now, happy Valentine's Day to you all and thank you for dropping by my page.
Till then,
