When Friday comes, it’s guaranteed—my energy is drained and I start to physically feel the stress.
From Sunday to Friday, from the moment I wake up in the morning until the afternoon—sometimes even into the night—I work on all sorts of content. In the morning, I check on my garden to see if my plants are doing okay, if I have seedlings ready to sell, or if any have been infested.
After that, I start my work-from-home job as a social media manager. I create graphics or videos to post on social media.
In the afternoon, I shift to other activities like affiliate marketing. I make videos promoting products, and if they sell, I earn a small commission. After that, I dive into my hobbies—writing fictional stories and creating cartoon comics.
Yes, that’s how I spend my whole day, and sometimes it stretches into the night. In the evening, I just lie down and watch entertaining content on YouTube.
On top of all that, my wife sometimes asks me to buy things, do the laundry, wash the dishes, or help bathe our baby daughter—which I don’t mind at all. I happily do it.
But I’ve noticed that when Friday comes, I start to feel drained, gloomy, and I begin craving food—salty or spicy ones that help perk me up a bit.
So on Saturdays, I usually just sit around all day. I don’t really work on Saturdays—not because I’m lazy, but because I believe Saturday is meant for rest.
Like today, Saturday—I feel super lazy. I’ve just been eating all day.
But that’s okay. It’s natural for people to feel drained. We really do need to rest and recharge.
I didn’t plan on writing today, but I thought this would be a nice story to share.
If you’re tired, take a break. Because if you force yourself to work, you’ll only end up being less productive. Sure, you might finish your task, but it won’t be as good as if you did it while in a better condition.
Let’s not be too hard on ourselves, as if all we’re meant to do is think and work, hoping that someday we’ll reach our goals.
Take it easy—overworking when your body and mind are already tired is stressful.
And when you’re stressed, your organs get stressed too, which can lead to illness.
It’s not even the mental stress I’m talking about—mental stress can be eased by cheering yourself up or avoiding problems. But the physical effects of stress caused by overworking can result in poor health that’s hard to reverse.
So to everyone who’s exhausted, take a break. And if you want to relax and have a laugh, read the comics I posted these past few days—you might just find them entertaining. Haha!
