Haha how cool is that!

Such crossing of international lines with the Italian influence. Thinking back to construction well over a century ago and hearing it still has 75% of its original furniture is impressive. To imagine it as a potential stop on the Underground Railroad and how big a part of American history that is makes it even more special.

Thanks! It is impressive that so much of the original furniture remains. Some family members removed a few pieces, but then the house was locked up and remained unoccupied for years
It is a local treasure and the Historical Society hosts several events on the grounds each year. Most recently a car show and there will be an art show later this summer
