My greetings to all.
The streets of a small town are a very accurate indicator of the life of those who live there. I have seen it many times.
Years ago, about 37,000 people lived here, and it was difficult to see these streets so empty. With the exception of Sundays, the rest of the days there were numerous people passing by in their hustle and bustle.
Now everything has changed.
The constant exodus has left the whole region very desolate. The social and financial crisis has taken its toll.
However, the landscape remains the same, although with very visible deterioration, and those of us who are still here, try to survive and cope with the increasing absence of neighbors and friends.
Well, here I leave you with these images of a Macondo lost in the plains of Camagüey.
Fraternal greetings and until we meet again.
