Machines, Metal, and Motion: A Walk Through a Railway Workshop

in Photo-essay2 days ago

A few days ago I visited a railway workplace. It is known as the Diesel Locomotive Workshop. I have entered this workshop several times. This time I saw various parts of the locomotive and various machines for fitting them in the workshop.

It was quite interesting to walk around the workshop and take pictures of the machinery. The assortment of machinery here seemed to be where many types of problems of an engine are solved and these parts are set up perfectly in an engine.

Some of the parts were shiny. Perhaps they were new and some were old, because they were rusty. There were some parts of the workshop that I had never entered. Perhaps I could have seen more parts in those places.

As an outsider, I would get a brief tour of this workshop, which is not bad either. My close cousin is an employee here, and with his reference, it is quite easy to enter this place. Even then, only employees can go to some places.

The structure of this workshop has similarities with the British style. But I am not sure. I think it is from the British period. But visiting this workshop was a very good experience for me.

This is an interesting place, I can imagine the amount of people who have worked there repairing trains. It’s my favourite method of transportation.
