"Vers L'infini" - XTRM-1
In Elite Dangerous, there is a new ship available: the Caspian Explorer.
I bought it, not the hologram version, because it's unreasonably expensive, just the Stellar version, which is the fully equipped version, with a bonus decoration pack.
I chose this version over the standard one because of the optimized and MKII modules, including an FSD that can multiply its jump by 5 to a proton star but also increases its jumps via white dwarfs.
On the downside, it's not pre-engineered, not even the hologram version, which is a shame. I've already upgraded the FSD to +2 and the thrusters to +1, so I'll need resources to upgrade further.
I've also modified a few modules, as there were too many useless ones...
I think three autonomous repair modules are too many, so I replaced the category 5 one with a Gardian booster.
Then for the Drones, they had put in two controllers, one for repairs and one for Xeno sampling, whereas the Xeno Multifunction does both. So I sold the two existing ones and replaced them with the Multifunction, which saved me some storage space.

Exobiology
With this ship, I will be able to try exobiology again.
I had tried this type of mission at the beginning and quickly became discouraged because it took too much time to find any biological elements.
But now I've learned how to use the filters on the surface analyzer. It shows the locations of different biological presences on the planet, with different colors depending on their concentration. And since I also have an upgraded surface analyzer, I need fewer probe shots to cover the surface.
The Caspian Explorer is also equipped with a special hull that allows for much more direct atmospheric penetration, and thrusters designed to control the effects of even strong gravitational forces. All of this makes approach and landing much easier and faster.
This attractive vessel is practical, perfectly calibrated for its missions, accompanied by a Taipan to give us time to escape if necessary, and two VRSs for traveling in pairs in search of signs of life...

Dans elite dangerous, il y a un nouveau vaisseau disponible: Le Caspian Explorer.
Je l'ai acquis, pas la version hologramme, car elle est hors de prix sans raisons, juste la version Stellar, donc la version 100% équipée, avec en prime un pack de décoration.
Si j'ai pris cette version plutôt que la standard, c'est pour ses modules optimisés et MKII,dont un FSD qui peut multiplier son saut par 5 vers une étoile à proton mais augmente aussi ses sauts via les naines blanches.
Par contre il n'est pas pre-ingénieurisé, pas même la version hologramme, dommage. J'ai déjà passé en +2 le FSD et +1 les propulseurs, j'aurai besoin de ressources pour monter plus haut.
J'ai modifié quelques modules aussi, il y avait trop de modules inutiles...
3 Modules de réparation autonomes, je trouve que c'est trop, j'ai donc remplacé celui catégorie 5 par un survolteur gardian.
Ensuite pour les Drones, ils avaient mis 2 contrôleurs, un de réparation et un d'échantillonnage Xeno, alors que le multifonction Xeno fait les deux. J'ai donc vendu les deux existants pour remplacer par le Multifonction, ce qui m'a fait gagner de la soute.

Exobiologie
Avec ce vaisseau,, je vais pouvoir tenter à nouveau l'exobiologie.
J'avais tenté au début de ce type de mission et cela m'avait rapidement dégoûté, car il fallait passer beaucoup trop de temps pour espérer trouver un élément biologique.
Mais là maintenant, j'ai appris a utiliser les filtres sur l'analyseur de surface. Il indique les position sur la planète des différentes présences biologiques, avec des couleurs différentes selon leur concentration. Et comme j'ai également un analyseur de surface amélioré, il me faut moins de coups de sondes pour finir la surface.
Le Caspian Explorer est également équipé d'une coque spécifique qui permet des pénétration atmosphériques bien plus directes, et de propulseurs prévus pour maîtriser les effets des gravités, même fortes. Tout cela fait qu'une approche et un atterrissage sont bien plus aisés et rapides.
Ce joli vaisseau est pratique, parfaitement calibré pour ses missions, accompagné d'un Taipan pour nous laisser le temps de fuir le cas échéant, et deux VRS pour se promener à deux à la recherche des traces de vies ...

Cela me fera une pause dans les combats en zones de conflits, où je suis plus que largement bien positionné grâce aux ravages que je fais avec la Corvette "Nec Metu" donc mes lecteurs ont déjà entendu parler ... 🙂
