I will likely take this from the stand point of the parable of the sower, you see the guy went out to sow and as we all know some fell on good grounds while some fell very bad grounds, but the very one that fell on the good ground was the one that found dept and grew, we know that Jesus spoke that parable to teach us the different hearts or minds of believers, who recieve the word and it never yield any growth in them, while some actually took the word and it yielded good results, but then let's turn the table around for a second.
I don't only see this to mean the heart of people I also see it to represent different people in life or say different believers going to church but are not grounded in God's word.
There is a reason why the bible in the book of Hebrews will charge us never to forsake the gathering of brethren, because when we do the bible says iron shappeneth iron as in together we are edify through the word....
There are those who hear the word or go to church yet they aren't grounded in there, so you see when ever they are faced with some challenging situations they fall apart, on a split of a second they tottall forgot they were believers, saying things and acting in manners that are directly opposite the believers creed.
We're are excited going to church wear our fine cloths and look Good cause it's Sunday, after ward we go out and hangout with friends, party or do things that soon enough we forgot who we are
For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
James:1:24
Many trying times will come in your life that intellectual Know how will Fail, intuition will fail, all that one knows will fail what will safe a man who knows and is grounded in God is how much of God's word he has stored inside of him, imagine JESUS all tho he was the very living word of God, yet the bible says at a very yiu g age he would often be found in the temple with scribes studying the word and asking questions.
It comes a time when the devil knew he was so hungry after a fast then he came to tempt him, but Jesus would bounce the devil with the word of god... It is written.....
I hope you can say so too whenever you're faced with difficult moment and trying times.....
