I've been spending the last few days working like crazy, and drooling with all the Hivefest posts and the chat in Hivefest channel; I would have loved to be there and see some of you again, and meeting even more cool people, but it is what it is. Will have to try and join in again next year!
All the posts were also a good chance to remember Croatia a little bit, and it seems a good time to revisit it in a #monomad style!

Split it amazing, no doubts about it; but my highlight is most likely going to Plitvice, the absolutely stunning national park where I've spent way less time than I wanted, and where I want to come back for a proper stay and exploration. And if at the end of the dry season, the lakes and the waterfalls were already beautiful, I can only imagine how they look like after the rainy season.

There's another place filled with nature and nearer Split that also left fond memories; I do hope some of the atendees at this year's Hivefest had the chance to visit Krka. Smaller waterfalls, smaller lakes, but wonderfull views nevertheless.

Most of you probably know I'm a nature fan more than a city fan, but apart from Split, other cities were equally impressive. Dubrovnik is an obvious one, for sure; even more if you're a Game of Thrones fan!
Impressive rock walls surrounding the old city, taking you back in time. And narrow streets, and narrower sights.

In some of the city places you could almost picture the GOT scenes! Actually, I've seen a ton of city tours GOT-themed, that would take you to most of the places featured in the series.
But with so many places to explore, I prefered to roam around and feel the city vibes, and explore the nearby beaches too.
Speaking of beaches and interesting places, the islands between Split and Dubrovnik also deserve some praise. Destiny made me spend a day in beautiful Korcula, and I'm glad it did!

So many beautiful places, so many good memories; a perfect location for a Hivefest! :)
