Hello my loving Asean Hive community,
Warmly welcome back from my new blog. How is it going guys? Is everything OK? I hope everything is ok. What is the weather like in your area? Where I live, the temperature has been rising during the day and it has been raining at night. So I don't need to water the plants in my yard these days. About 4 days ago, I told you about the poppy flowers blooming in my yard. Today I'm going to tell you about two plants I bought with my father.
My father and I love to plant, so we have many plants in our house. Two years ago, I bought daffodil bulbs, soil, vase and vine plants. At that time, the country I lived in had good transportation and the political situation was not too bad. Now, the political situation is very difficult to travel. A normal one-day trip can take 10 days or even have to be traveled through the jungle. So it is very difficult to order plants from other regions like before.
However, I haven't bought any plants in 2 years, and there's a plant I really like, so my dad and I went to all the plant stores in town today to look for it. And today was Friday, so I went to the plant store with my dad because I was tired in the afternoon. It's not available in many plant stores, so I only found that plant at the last one I went to.
The name of the plant I bought today is Brunfelsia pauciflora, and it also has another cute name. That name is Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. In Myanmar, this flower is called Pyi Pyar Murah. If you translate that name, it means white, blue beauty. What makes this flower so special is that it can change into three colors from a single flower. First, it turns into deep purple, then light purple, and finally into white. I think that's why this flower is named Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.
I have never seen this plant when I was young. I first saw this huge tree on the street of the city about 6 months ago. The tree was taller than me and was a big bush. And there were many flowers on the tree, and suddenly I saw that the flowers looked like butterflies. Because the flowers on the bush are different from other flowers and come in three different colors.
I passed by a big tree in that city and smelled a very sweet flower. I really liked the smell of that flower because it was completely different from other flowers.
Another unique thing is that, as you can see in the picture, the buds of this flower are shaped like stars. It looks like a star folded out of paper. I bought this little flower called "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" for 40,000 Myanmar Kyats. That's about $8 in USD.
The next thing I bought was tulip bulbs. Tulips are quite rare in Myanmar. I wanted tulips with plants, but today I only got tulip bulbs. I spent about $2 on those tulip bulbs. If I have the strength, I plan to transplant the yesterday, today and tomorrow plant and the tulip buds into larger pots. That's it for today. Below are the pictures I took today.
