Hello my loving Asean Hive community,
Welcome back to my garden new post. Yesterday I told you about the gifts I bought for my students. Today I will tell you about some of the plants in my small garden. How is the weather in your area these days? It's been raining almost every day in the area I live in these days. The area where I live is a mountainous area, so it is not as hot as other areas. ButI think the weather will get much warmer once this rain stops.
It rains every day, so I don't have to water the plants in my small garden these days. It's spring and it's raining, so some of the plants in the garden are starting to sprout small leaves. In particular, a plant called acacia concinna produces many new leaves.
Since it rains all the time, we can only go into the garden when it stops raining. We can plant some new plants when it stops raining and pick vegetables when it stops raining. This evening, while I was working, the rain stopped, so this evening, I went with my father to pick some vegetables from the small garden, as well as some acacia concinna leaves.
I have about 5 acacia concinna plants in my small garden. I started planting these plants when my family moved into this house. Now the acacia concinna plants in my garden are about 5 years old. Our Burmese people often use these leaves to make soup as well as salad. Sometimes it is cooked with fish and eaten with fish sauce.
The leaves of acacia concinna can be eaten when they are young. The leaves of acacia concinna are red in color and soft when they are young. When they are mature, the leaves of acacia concinna resemble tamarind. When they are mature, they are inedible and the leaves are very tough. At times like these, we don't eat those leaves, but use them to make neutral fertilizer.
So in my small garden, I keep these plants as branches. I pick them whenever they sprout. That way, new leaves will grow faster. If you don't pick those young leaves quickly, they will turn into tamarind leaves in about a week. The pictures above are of the acacia concinna I picked today. That's all for today. I'm planning to cook these acacia concinna leaves with fish. So next time, I'll tell you how to cook acacia concinna with fish. Thank you very much for reading my post to the end. Bye Bye. See you in the next post. 🍇
