Welcome to hive @sydmae, as i read your post, i found myself completely relating to your story. I also made a difficult choice, had a stable job in the government and i may say a promising career because when husband asked me to have an early retirement i was promoted to a higher position. In a profound act of love and commitment, i prioritized the bond with my husband over my career. I fully supported him, as we took a bold step to settle in other country. My heart knew that being on his side was the greatest gift i could offer.😍 Now, I'm facing my new venture as a plain housewife 😊
Walking away from something you worked hard for is never easy especially when success is next to you. Hehe, It is just good that this writing wasn't there yet. What matters most is that you have a career now. My decision was also the right one, the workload was so stressful, and the environment was toxic. Anyway, our kids are all grown up and successful, so maybe God redirected this to us.
I understand what your husband needs. He just want to have a mother who will take care of his kids. And his the provider. Its hard for you to let go your passion. Especially in our country if your a stay at home mom people think your doing anything. They will say "ohhh sa bahay lng sya. hayahay ba".I really understand you and Ive been into stay at home too. But they dont know our sacrifices to leave our job. Its a professional job to be a stay at home mom, take full responsibilities for our family. We always think of I want to do something to help my family. However, thinking too much is will not help dor or mentahl health. But society is so judgemental. Not all people can understand our situation. And the good things is, you see the milestone of your kids. Its an accomplishment, rewarding, that Ive been in their milestones. From our modern world we have work from home job. Good thing for you to continue your passion. Balance your time for family and work professionally.Its really a rollercoaster journey of your life. Those challenges will be your learnings. And its not ends here, trials will come and I know you can handle it well. My husband and I both knew we had to make a decision that will alter our situation. We are not rich, financial status was a great factor of consideration but something weighs even more my kids. I needed to step up and be a mother, and my Husband needed to step up in providing since that was the only way to make it work. I made the sacrifice of ending a 10 year service to fulfill the greatest role I could ever find. You are not alone, being a mother is everything for me. I would do it all over again for the sake of my Family.

Many of us can relate what have you experienced choosing career or family. I choose to take care of children, my husband provide with our needs but sometime his income is not enough. Many times come up in mind what if I will work again but when I look at to my children, I ask myself who will take care of them like the way I care, my mother told me your children will grow but for now they need a mother, you can have a job once they become big and I think my mother is right. And I'm grateful I found this hive community also where I can share my stories in life.
