Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏
Tonight, I want to share a small step I’ve started doing for myself by minimizing my rice intake. Honestly, this is one of the hardest things to do because rice has always been part of every Filipino meal. But I realized that I need to start disciplining myself, especially after gaining around 7 kilograms since I came here to Manila. 🤭
It’s not just about losing weight, it’s about being more mindful of what I eat. Along with my daily exercise and walking routine, I told myself that I also have to watch what I put on my plate.
I’m happy to say that so far, I’ve been able to control it. Tonight, I had no rice at all. Instead, I had sweet corn as a replacement, and surprisingly, it was satisfying! For my main dish, I cooked pork adobo, and instead of pairing it with rice, I wrapped it with fresh lettuce leaves and dipped it in the adobo sauce. It was delicious! The flavor of the adobo blended perfectly with the crisp lettuce and the slight sweetness of the corn. 😋

That was my dinner for tonight and actually, the same as the other night’s too! 😄 During breakfast and lunch, I also try to reduce my rice portion little by little. It’s really not easy, especially when I start feeling hungry again after eating. But I’m learning to manage it by drinking more water and having small snacks in between. ☺️
Discipline is not something that happens overnight, but I’m proud that I’ve already started. Small changes can make a big difference in the long run. I believe that if I continue doing this, along with my daily 10K steps, I’ll slowly reach my goal to be healthier, lighter, and more confident with my body. 💪
It’s not just about appearance, but about taking care of myself, body, mind, and soul. And I thank God for giving me the will and strength to start again. 🙏
Have a Blessed Sunday everyone! 😀😀😀💖💖💖
