Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏
It's weekend, and I was just at home enjoying a slow day. We had a bunch of ripe saging na saba or cardaba banana in the kitchen, and instead of letting them get overripe, we decided to turn them into snacks. Since they were already naturally sweet, we didn’t add sugar. We just peeled it and fried it until it turned golden brown. ❤️
Fried bananas are one of the most popular snacks here in the Philippines. Almost every Filipino household has enjoyed them at some point. It is easy to prepare, budget-friendly, and you can buy saba almost anywhere whether in the market, from a street vendor, or even from a neighbor’s fruit stand. It’s a snack that’s simple yet brings comfort and satisfaction.
The taste is something I never get tired of, the outside becomes slightly crispy while the inside stays soft and warm. Because the bananas are naturally sweet, every bite feels like a treat without the need for extra sugar or flavoring. It's also healthy, being rich in fiber, potassium, and vitamin C, which makes it a better snack choice compared to processed junk food.
This afternoon, my sister and I brought our freshly fried bananas to the living room. Still warm and golden brown from the pan, they looked so inviting. We placed them on a plate, sat down, and enjoyed them while watching TV together. It was nothing fancy, just two sisters sharing snacks and laughter but it felt warm, comforting, and special. ☺️❤️
Sometimes, happiness is found in the simplest things like a plate of fried bananas and the company of someone you love.❤️
Have a Blessed Saturday everyone! 😀😀😀💖💖💖
