Hello Asean Hive community! How was your Easter Sunday? How did you spend your Easter? Wait! What is Easter? Why is Easter important to us? To answer that let’s first know about Easter. Easter Sunday is the commemoration of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead, it was the third day after Jesus was crucified and buried to save us. Easter is one of the many important celebrations of the Holy Church.
This year Easter makes us to Celebrate but in a simple way. This is a double celebration. First is Jesus' resurrection.Second we transferred to our new home. We moved from place to place for the past three years.When we moved last July here in Cebu, we lived in a small boarding house with only me and my two daughters.
We moved early in the morning because that was our belief about moving to a new home. When the staff of the mover’s done carrying all our stuff inside our new home , we rested for a while and then changed clothes for church because it was Easter Sunday.
When we arrived in the church the people were few because we arrived earlier for the 9AM Holy Mass. While we are in church I can't stop myself from falling into tears. I was so touched by the sermon From the officiating Priest. His sermon was about God’s conditional love towards us and his beloved people. He sacrificed and died on the cross to save us. His resurrection gives us hope that when life is tough and we are at the lowest part because of our sufferings, let us not forget that it will end. I remembered it happened to me before when life seemed so hopeless but when I looked at my daughter’s I said to myself there is no way I would surrender because they are still young. I had the lowest and most difficult time when I got sick, a sickness that if not diagnosed and treated at an early stage I might lose my life but God never abandoned me. He gave me my second husband who funds all my medical procedures and that I was healed. For me this is my second life that I have now. Easter's other meaning is hope, hope that our God would never leave us nor persecute us. He loves us despite our weaknesses, our mistakes and lack of faith.
After church, we went to Sm for some grocery shopping and while we were walking to the supermarket we saw a poster about Easter.We are glad that they also had an Easter theme poster so I told my daughter to take a picture of me.
We bought meat, C2 Raspberry flavor our most favorite,spices,cooking oil, vinegar, soy sauce,a chiffon cake and ice cream to celebrate Easter and our successful transfer to our new home.
When we arrived home I started to cook for our lunch and Simple celebration for our Easter and new Home. While I am cooking I also hang the curtains. We also arrange the kitchen like the dining, plates and other kitchen stuff. Place my laptop on the laptop table then play music and connect it by Bluetooth to the speaker. I love doing house chores with music on.
My eldest daughter is sweeping the floor from the second floor up to the first floor and the outside of the house.
My youngest daughter is mopping the floor.
The house is not that dusty or dirty because it was being cleaned before we moved.
Finally we ate lunch for Our simple celebration. We have cooked rice, pork Humba,Chiffon cake,C2 and Ice Cream. I called my husband because he is working miles away so we can pray together as one family for the first meal we would do here in our new home. He answered my call and he led the prayer and manifesting those we want to happen in our life.We need and want good health,abundance,peace,protection,joy,love,wisdom, opportunities and success.That’s all we have for Easter lunch,simple yet memorable. Easter in our new home, new beginning and manifesting Good health, more blessings and abundance and love so we can share more of our blessings to others especially the less fortunate. Last year even though we are not rich we are able to share our blessings to the church and individuals. Hoping that we can continue and do more of that while living here in our new home now.
I told my daughter that we need to be patience because the Airconditioned installer is out of town so we need to wait for him until he would be home. My closet also need to be dismantle and then install it again in the second floor because the mover's even they are three men they cannot carry it to the second floor.
After lunch my youngest daughter does the dishes and my eldest daughter helps me to arrange our stuff. We helped each other do all the house chores because we want to sleep in a clean and arranged home. Exactly 5pm I Sit and face my laptop and do my blog. Indeed our Easter Sunday was so productive,our hearts have joy and content. This is how we spend our Easter 2025.
