Whenever I have time in morning, I often take a short walk by the street in front of the place where I live (I rent it) in Renon, Denpasar. This morning was I had a chance for my routine short walk. It was around 5:30 AM, it's still quite dark , but I love this peaceful time of the day.
The street was quiet, with just a few motorcycles and cars passing by. I walked on the pavement, noticing that most shops were still closed. Only a 24-hour drugstore remains open. Street lamps casted a gentle light onto the wet road, likely damp from the night’s rain. The sky was still a bit dark with trace of fine clouds, but it's gradually getting lighter.
The fresh air is my favorite part of these morning walks. During the day, the streets are busier with more vehicles, and the sun gets quite hot, reaching twenty-nine to thirty degrees Celsius with high humidity. But in the morning, it’s cool and refreshing.
On my walk, as I go further, I also passed by a traditional Bali snack stalls by the road. Here, I see people waiting to be served, eager to buy different kinds of traditional cakes. This morning I decided to stop there to also buy some cakes, thinking they would go perfectly with my coffee when I finish my walk.
I enjoy these walks that I do them almost every day, except when the rain is very heavy. These walks not only refresh me but also give me a peaceful start to the day.
