A well-spent Sunday.😁 This is my typical Sunday routine, except for the second Sunday of the month. I participate in service as part of my commitment to the Lord, who has blessed me with the talent to serve without expecting anything in return. I have been a member of a church choir group in General Santos City. Those residing in General Santos City, especially fellow Catholics, should visit the chapel where you can enjoy a serene atmosphere. We serve every Sunday except the second Sunday, as another choir is scheduled to sing.
Since the service is set to begin at 10:00 AM, my parents attended church as well, so they took me along. While I was sitting in the back and gazing out the window, I was appreciating the scenery because I didn’t get a chance to prepare myself before leaving home.
The scripture reading for today's mass focused on loving your enemies. I wonder why I struggle with that; when someone hurts me deeply, I prefer to ignore them completely, thinking my anger will be justified. However, today's message emphasized the importance of forgiveness, whether it’s by communicating with those we’ve been hurt by or forgiving them quietly in our hearts. If God can be forgiving, why can’t we as humans? It’s a challenge, but that’s what ultimately brings us peace.

After our lunch, I strolled around the chapel and was captivated by the flowers from nature. I contemplated how to grow flowers like these because I would love to have a similar display. They appeared so vibrant to me.
We did what we set out to do today! I felt disheartened because only four of us were present in the morning, and it was just few members just show up and others didn't care. It seems like they may have overlooked their mission and commitment. Although I felt angry, I’ve decided to embrace peace, love, and forgiveness.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog today. Let’s keep practicing love and forgiveness towards one another. Love love 😍
