The Kids Having Fun with Toys

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY22 hours ago

Today felt short. It rained for most of the evening after I came back from school. At home, I just slept. My body feels weaker, and now I have a fever and aching joints. I couldn't even do any house chores. Still, I'm very thankful that the kids were full of energy. Eiona played "cooking" with me, asking what I wanted to eat. Meanwhile, Rex and Rez were busy arranging their toys.

It’s rare for me to see them playing together like this. Over the past two weeks, Rex and Rez have mostly been studying in their room, while Eiona usually watches YouTube. But today was different. While I sat in the living room, Eiona kept asking, "Papa, what do you want to eat?" After I answered, she’d rush to her play kitchen to "prepare" my order. When she served it, she’d ask, "Is it tasty? Does it need more salt? Is it too spicy?" She's really entertained me.

Rex and Rez also caught my attention as they carefully arranged their toys. It seemed like they were creating a story with the setup. They have so many toys now, and organizing them can be stressful! But one day, all of this will pass. As parents, all we can do is be patient and cherish these childhood moments with gratitude.

There are still many toys they didn’t take out, which are stored in Eiona’s pink tent and various bags. Some toys were bought at their request, while others were gifted by cousins, aunts, and uncles. Every birthday, the kids always ask for toys as presents, and they happily receive them.
