Hello hivers. Here's Krissy back again with another unique recipe to try. Are you familiar with bamboo grass? Well bamboo shoots can be eaten in our place. This is a seasonal food. It only appears during the start of the rainy season and the entire of it because it's time for them to grow and bloom. My father has lots of bamboo grasses anywhere in our farmland and he got a lot. But we didn't cook it all but we gave it to some of our neighbors. My mother said the common recipe for this is called locally as adobo. This is our dinner and my father's worker here in the farmland cook it for us.
This is originally maroon or purple or brown in color but they removed the cover already since it's itchy to carry. This is the whole bamboo shoot and first thing to do is to cut them into smaller pieces. Then boiled it until bubbles comes out. Those bubbles are very bitter so you have to remove it and let it dry on the basin once there were no bubbles anymore.
First thing is to fry the meat. This is a pork. After the pork turns golden brown, next to fry is the spices and once done mix it together.
Then mix the boiled bamboo shoot. Uncle just added, soy sauce, msg, salt and little sugar in it. It only took 5-8 minutes to boil then it's serve on the table.
Then I scoop mine paired with rice. Then I went to the balcony since my kids are watching television there so it's easy for me to let them eat because they are so behave.
I love this recipe so much. I can eat it very seldom that's why if there's bamboo shoot I always grab the opportunity to cook for this. There are other recipe for this that I like the most. I like it in a soup with white young corns.
That's all for today hivers. I hope you like the food I had shared today.
Thank you so much!
