Growing Indian Baby Pumpkin!

in HiveGardenyesterday

Namaste to all gardeners and plant lovers!

Well, I have repeatedly noticed that the vine vegetables in my garden are not growing. I don't know the reason, but I do know that despite my best efforts, the plants die before or at the time of flowering. This has happened many times with different vegetable plants but I am also determined and very positive, so once again this season I am trying to grow a different vegetable called Indian Baby Pumpkin or Tinda. I have never grown this vegetable before, so this is going to be a first experience for me too.

I took these seeds from some ripe fresh Tinda bought from the market last season, so I have invested nothing in it except my hard work and belief. :)

About 10 days ago I saw these seeds and thought that this timing is also good so let's try once again. So I sowed a total of 4 seeds at a depth of less than 1 inch on the edge of a pot and kept them in a place with sunlight for half a day and they germinated in about 5 days.

On the fifth day, I saw only 2 sprouts, then after a day, I saw another sprout. All three have grown in a sequence and even on the sixth day, the stills have not completely come out of the soil.

In these pictures, you can see these sprouts growing with each passing day. In the picture below you can see the growth from the day of sowing the seeds to the eighth day.

You can still see the seed coat attached to the cotyledon even after 10 days. If you look closely in the middle of the cotyledon, you can also see the formation of true leaves which will take their full shape in the next few days.

So far these seedlings are growing fine, but the problem always comes at the time of their flowering, due to which this time I have to take more care of these plants so that I can also enjoy the fruits from this baby pumpkin vine.

I Hope you enjoyed my Gardening and Phone Photography! :)

sometimes despite our best effort, nature always has another plan for the plant that we have. so we just have to accept that.

Good morning, Mr. @untilwelearn

It's a shame you haven't had any luck with your plants after flowering. I hope you have different results with these plants and a successful planting.

Have a beautiful Sunday.
