Ajwain: No less than a panacea of Ayurvedic Herb!

in HiveGarden26 days ago

Namaste!

This blog is about the most dense plant in my garden right now!

About 8 months ago my mother gave me just one branch of this plant. At that time I did not have any space to plant it so I just put it in the biggest pot in my garden.

By the way, this pot was never meant for planting; I used to just keep my soil mix, coco peat, manure etc. in it. Well, I had thought of planting a fruit tree in it but that plan could never be executed, so at that time, this pot was filled with coco peat up to about 12 inches.

This is the Ajwain Plant. I don't know about your country, but in India, it is used a lot as a herb in many dishes. This is really a wonderful herb which is used not only to make food delicious but also to cure many diseases. Its leaves are used in some dishes or the other almost daily in my home.

While reading about its health benefits, I came to know that it improves bone health, immunity, blood circulation, etc. and also Fight bacteria and fungi, Improves cholesterol levels, Combats peptic ulcers and relieves indigestion, May prevent coughing and improves airflow, and has anti-inflammatory effects. Overall, this is no less than a panacea of Ayurvedic medicines!

It has grown from a single branch that came 8 months ago to dozens of branches and its fragrance is so strong and sweet that you can feel its presence even from a distance. However, I have to prune it once again and plant it in a small pot, but that process will happen after some time and till then I hope it will keep flourishing like this.

I hope you liked this awesome herb!

Oh, THATS what ajwain looks like! What recipes is it used in?

We use it's green leaves in many vegetarian dishes, chutney, pakoras, and also in making fresh salad.

we have one dish here in my place where use this plant as one of the important ingredients. The taste and smell is very nice and strong.

Nice to know that you also use it as an important ingredient. I really like it's strong smell and taste and we often use it for home remedies.

Sach mein mere yahan ye dishes mein kam but medicine ki tarah jadya use hota hain.
🤣

Aapne yahan fruit tree pot mein planting ki baat ki, mere samja mein nahi aaya matlab tree thoda confusing laga mujhe isliye puch liya.

Bhai grafted wagerah hote hain, plant to definitely nahi keh sakte unhe kyunki wo kaafi bade hote hain Haan ped jitne bade nahi hote kyunki aap apni ichha anusaar unke size ko control rakhte ho par ek 8-10-12 feet ke plant ko tree kehna hi jyada sahi hoga I guess.
Socha tha hai isme kuch lichi, aam ya amrood type kuch lagaunga.. dekhte hain! :)

Wow!! I think usme bhi high yield wali variety hogi. Jo aam ped meine lagaya tha usse phalne mein 7 saal Lage aur bhai almost 2 stories building se upper gaya tha..
Bhai ped Lagao aur hume bhi sheekao. Zaroor try karenge jab apna time aayega

Bhai abhi ek kamaal ki discovery ki hai.. aapko pata chalega to ek ped aap lagana chahoge uska. Bahut hi khubsurat aur jabardast phal.

Kabhi badaam (almond) ka ped dekha hai? Agar nahi to abhi Google Karo aur search keyword mein almond flowers likhkar bhi search karnaaa. Face pe ek badhiya smile na aate to kehnaa.

Bas ab apne is sabse bade gamle mein wahi lagana hai mujhe 🥰

Smile to badi wali thi. Meine shyaad iska ped dekha ho purani company ke garden mein. But phool aaj hi dekh raha hun..
Good Luck bhai. Sabse bade pot bhi shayaad chota pad jaye. Kyunki jo ped meine dekha tha wo building ke second floor ko touch kar jaa rahi thi.
JO bhi ho Phool ne dil jeet liya. ❤️ ☮️
