Garden is not only for Vegetables but also for herbal plants, it helps us to cure our minor health Problems.
This is what my Parents always told me, that gardening is not only for vegetables and crops but also for herbal plants. Here in the Province, there are lot of far places and it is really far away from pharmacies and health centers. Herbal plants are already traditional here since our ancestors and elders teached us on what to do and how to used herbal plants. This time I decided to plant some of it here at my Garden together with my Vegetables. As for that, recycled materials like empty Big plastic containers is very perfect and useful in terms of planting vegetables and herbal plants. Luckily I have few empty big bottles of water and I cut it in half, filled with fertilized soil and started to think what are the plants I want to placed. I decided to put herbal plants and this kind of herbal is what we called it "Helbas". The leaves contains a hairlike particles with wavy lines of it leaves and it is good to used as tea or wound medicine porpuses. This plant is rarely to find that is why I decided to plant lots of it.
Next is the "Kalabo" plant. A kind of herbal plants also used to cure cough, colds and even minor wounds. This kind of plants is very common and the smell of its leaves is very smell good and release fragrance. The matured branches of this plant is perfect to plant in a fertile soil and within a week it will becone stabled. It grows and survived in different places but it must be watered three times only to avoid rotten or withered.
Tawa-Tawa Herbal plant is best to cure Dengue Fever, in fact there are lots of people looking for this kind of herbal plant. It is very common here and I planted lots of it here in my Garden. The boiling tawa-tawa plant is good to cure fever and aside of that, the liquid of this herbal plant is perfect to cure minor wounds or scratch. It survived in an intense heat from the sun and no need to watered daily as long as The entire place or surroundings are clean and no wild grass grows. I decided to plant this herbal at the recycled empty bottle of water.
I also have some recycled Fridge box and I also put few herbal plants inside of this big box. First I add some right amount of fertile soil, and I pulvorized it, removing the peebles and wild grass before planting those herbal plants I've collected. This plant inside of the recycled fridge already grows three weeks already and it produced a good results. By next day, the soil inside of this fridge will be remove and replaced new fertile soil.
This empty plastic cola bottles are also recycled and I make it into a fenced and borders. Before I put those plastic empty cola bottles in perfect place, I filled a half of sands inside of those bottles. It keeps those things stand and wont leaning everytime when there is a heavy rain. It is also perfect to used as a garden plot so the soil wont flash away by water. I collected hundreds of cola bottles and all of it are now in used here in my Garden.
To My Vegetable plants:
I am very happy to see that some of my Okra seeds are now grows producing young sprouts. This will be new member here in my Garden. It takes almost two weekd of waiting before the sprouts comes out. The best thing I want to do is to cultivate and removed those wild grass near at the sprouts. The leaves must be checked always to see if there are harmful insects living on it.
Camote leaves, also keep growing stabled in fact there are lots of young leaves comes out. This is not really hard to cultured this plant because it survived and grows everywhere. But the best thing we must do is to cultivate the soil and removing those dry leaves.
My chilli pepper are also produced lots of flowers again, and this will be a good sign about lots of chilli peppers comes out by next week. Our soil here is acidic and it is to all acidic plants like chilli pepper.
My newly planted Alugbati and kangkong tubers are grows perfectly. I've planted this kangkong tubers last day and I kept checking those tubers if there are young leaves comes out. This kangkong plants only survived at the dry land, there are some kangkong grows in watery areas like rivers but this one only grows in dry land.
Last day, I found some old nets at the coastal areas and I brought it to used as a fence to my Garden. It helps the animals to keep away like chickens, cats and dogs.
