Elden Ring: Stormveil Castle and the Dragon

in Hive Gaming7 days ago

Hello and welcome back to my blog!

After killing my first boss (Margit the Fell Omen) in Elden Ring, it was time to enter the Stormveil Castle and explore what I could find here.

The huge caste gate was locked, but a weird guy told me to go around and enter from there. I followed it thinking it must be a trap, but nope. I found many new enemies and was slowly but surely able to enter the castle from the left side of it.

Like every other castle, it was heavily guarded, and some were big enough to scare me. I sneaked past many wherever I could. These enemies were dropping me many more runes than the ones outside, so it was profitable to clear this slowly.

I found a new cool sword, but it was unlocked after spending a rare Stonesword key. And I needed a lot more strength to use it, so it wasn't even that useful.

In the castle, we met another weird monster (calling them weird is an understatement; every boss is weird in their own right). This one had multiple hands, each holding a different weapon or shield.

I cheesed this one as well and shot him through a door. That guy couldn't find there and he had no ranged attack lol. I forgot to take pictures.

But it was getting a bit too difficult, and I was getting sick of dying in this castle, so I decided to head out into the open air and explore a little more. There is a lot to explore in Limgrave.

Do you remember the dragon in the swamp? Last time, I ran away from the fight. But this time I had another strategy and I had much more health and stamina as well. I bought a lot of arrows and used my JellyFish spirit to deal with the poison damage, which slowly deals damage over time.

It was surprisingly easier than I thought. If you maintain enough distance and can dodge its fire attack, you can kill it easily. It would take a long time with the arrows, but it is doable. I spent all my arrows and had to deal with the last 30% of damage with swords. That was the most risky part of the combat.

After a few hours of dealing with smaller enemies and collecting runes to further upgrade my character, I reached a place called Murkwater Catacombs. As I understand, these catacombs have a final boss and this one had the Grave Wardent Duelist. This fight wasn't too difficult.

Once you have a spirit companion, and it gets distracted, you can easily hit it and take it down slowly. I killed him in my first try.

I got a new spirit companion, and this one is a knight. It costs 100 FP, and I didn't upgrade my FP enough but now I am thinking of leveling it up more.

There are some locked doors in the Castle, and I wonder what is behind them. This one required Stonesword Key and I hope it is not just some weapon that I can't even use xD.

I would love a cool boss inside it. Not just a chest with an odd weapon.

There was one part of the castle where I was struggling a lot. I kept dying there because it was too many guards there. It frustrated me a lot, and I kept switching out of the castle, thinking that I needed to upgrade more.

I think I have to grind a lot more before I feel powerful enough to take on the stronger guards in the castle. I have died a lot of times but every death teaches you something.

Until next time...

Actually, to be honest, I don't know much about this game, but since you posted this post, it seems like the game will be very good and the graphics quality of this game looks very nice. I like all PC games because all PC games use high quality graphics. Due to which playing the games is a lot of fun. When I buy a PC, I will try to play such games, God willing.

Yeah, the quality is amazing. They created a beautiful open world where you are free to go anywhere and choose your place of death lol.

That's great 👍

I like the graphics and the theme. Just hope that one day, it could be play to earn games that I can live on, I'll spend my whole day playing haha

That would be really cool. The only thing lacking in 'play to earn' games is the element of 'fun'. That's quite sad, actually.

yes that's one of the main reasons I brought that point up. If we could get a play to earn game to be like fortnite, GTA or FIFA then many will seek to make it a full time job

You are getting the hang of it bro. With the ashes the game becomes much easier, the best of all you will get in the future called “mimic tear”. It literally creates a clone of you, that uses your weapons.

That would be so cool, I bet it is expensive to use too

Lol I bet Godrick's dragon head move was super annoying. When bosses get new attacks mid fight, you know it's about to go down. Really good job beating him with the jellyfish helper, nice game play
