I think it's interesting that the Resident Evil franchise has much more success with its remakes than it does with its newer entries. The classics were great. I still remember playing RE2 on the Playstation decades ago the fright it would cause. The newer ones seem to focus more on action rather than horror but the remakes seem to have managed a comfortable middle ground.
