Dungeon Cities is going to be a new game emerging on Hive. More details about the game can be read here. I'm pleased about this because Hive has proved to be a great platform for ideas from People. I'm glad that we have so many such projects on Hive and these projects if they have their ecosystem and audience, they can take Hive to the next level.
Games on Hive
Hive is more like a platform where any type of project can be built. Initially, it started as a blogging platform, and with the blockchain capabilities we now have the facility to do many things on Hive. One such thing is the game creation. We already have a few games on Hive and some of these games are successful to date. Some games are having tough times because of the low hive price. Hope the game will have a comeback when the price of Hive improves.
We need more games on Hive and mostly all these new games should prove the capability of Hive blockchain. We need strong APIs and facilities to query data from the blockchain so that the data can be broadcasted on the chain and can be harnessed from the chain.
Games evolving on Hive
During the initial days when games were built on Hive, there were so many experiments. The developers were not sure how a blockchain could be efficiently used to build a game. Even though the concept was very good there were a few challenges when it comes to building games. As many games started exploring this concept there were so many new learnings and the games started evolving. Today when a new game starts building on Hive, many common mistakes can be avoided.
I have learned a lot by building games on Hive and earlier we thought about having all the data on the chain itself but today we are having a second thought on that concept and it will be good to have only the transactional data inside the blockchain and other game related data can stay on the second layer. This is how the concepts are evolving. There is no perfect system thought but Hive is evolving as a good gaming platform for the future of gaming on Hive.

To talk about this new game, I believe having more games and more projects on Hive is a great thing. The reason is that every single project can have its economy and this will create more exposure to the outside world finally success on an individual project level can bring success to the overall Hive ecosystem and its investors.
The concept of a Dungeon crawling game is good for Hive as there are no such games in the blockchain world with this type of gameplay. Hopefully, the game becomes successful and interesting for the players. Let's hope.
