Parenting is one of the hardest thing that parents could imagine but even if it's hard, they can have the best feeling whenever they saw their child/children on their own version of themselves.
When we compare about parenting years before and now, I think there is a big difference from them. As I can observe and see now, these kids can have more freedom than before because kids now are somewhat more uncontrollable from before.
Parenting before has a different approach for their children so that their children will be more obedient, compliant, and well disciplined. I think that It's more effective on how the parenting works in the years before compared now because the kids now are more rebellious to their parents and sometimes, they will fight their parents, too.
Rather now that there are now lots of laws about children/child abuse from their parents and parents are more scared of these laws because they might go to jail if they spank or do something physical to their child.
As for me, I think it's better to disciplined my child and spank them if they do something bad because that's one way for them to learn while they are still kids. They might ended up becoming a spoiled brat if I am not going to discipline my child/children.
Today, it's now difficult to discipline our child because they are more aggressive and they are more naughty than when I was a child and I can compare it because I experienced it before not just my daughter but in other parents, too, that I saw and read online or even my neighbors and most of the time, they like to shut themselves by watching videos by themselves. They would cry even if only one second that they cannot watch videos and they'll make tantrums just to satisfy their wants.
Before, because there were only a few to no technology, we were busy having fun by going outside and play games with the other neighbors and only one command that my parents call us, we will directly go there and obey on what they say because we will get slash or we will get scolded if we will not listen to them but now, even if you scold them, they will not listen to us and they will continue on the things that they do.
Maybe, it's a matter of how you discipline your child on becoming a parent from them but a guidance from other parents can also help, too, as they also experience on their child's behavior like always talk to them and listen to their sentiments or the things that they don't like.
