Hello and Good Day to all my fellow dCity Citizens
Here I come again to update the progress of my dCity growth. I think I make it on time regarding last week I have set a rule of thumb in developing my dCity. anyway here are the list about how I will develop mine:
- Buildings > Citizens. Initially I bought cheap citizen such as workers, because they are cheaper. I got some buffs, like tax refund, income, popularity by buying special citizens in discount. But when they died, stats dropped badly, and my rank crumbled. So Right now I focus more on buildings over citizens.
- My Income Rank is mainly generated by young citizens. Instead of trying different methods from selling them and replace them with better NFTs or Cards, whether they are building or citizens, I try to focus increasing basic income and fighting social support cost in order to be able to house in more young citizens.
- Incase I will add new rule here, they should not change the first and second rules.
I am stick to my plan here, so I will focus in pumping my dCity Income in order to have higher capacity in housing young citizens. So let's check my dCity now...
My dCity Today
This is my dCity right now. Everything looks great, my Income now 96 $SIM and I have spare 17 unemployed citizens there. Everyday there is a young citizens that turns into students and they are making up the worker volume there. So those unemployments are actually my students in my dCity.
However this great thing won't last long. I hover my pointer on my Income stats and I get this box. It says my Max Income (no tax) is 109 $SIM, and this is the number which can be liquidated from tax refund. So soon within days my Tax Refund will be hitting the bar, and my dCity Income definitely starts to drop again.
What is my solution then?
IT is simple, the same with the last update, I need to keep pushing up my total Income for my dCity. I have those 17 unemployment and I need to get some jobs for them. Not only jobs, those jobs must be the one that produce good ratio of Income / workers.
Barber shops are my solution this time. They have 8 Income / 3 workers and this is one of the highest ratio of Income/Workers in this game. Last time I used Ice cream shops, and those two are equal. Which one is better depends on which one is cheaper at that time.
Now they are coming into my dCity. I have given 15 job opportunities for my Citizens and those jobs generate 40 Base Income for my dCity. This create a good buffer to house in more young citizens, but this won't be long anyway. I need to do something else, such as buying more buildings that boost up my Base Income, because housing in massive young citizens won't ever be an easy thing.
But let it be the next time challenge I need to solve. I think I have done best one for this round.
The Result
My move is actually the same as the previous round, which is getting 5 buildings from 3rd edition which in total increase 40 Base Income. My dCity base income has risen from 211 $SIM to 251 $SIM, and this increase makes my dCity capable to have 157 $SIM as max income from tax refund.
This number won't last long because social support will push down my Max Income anyway. however 40 Base Income increase should suffice for my dCity to hold on one more weeks. Let see what I will do next week, but this week as I have said above, I have done good deal.
My rank has improved a bit, not significant but I think it is on the proper growth rate right now. I sit on rank #228 of income today which this number has improved 10 position from last update #238.
Not only in Income, my Popularity rank increases from #706 to #650. 50 point increase, this is good although it means nothing because it is still outside top 400. Only top 400 who are eligible to get any rewards here on dCity.
Honestly, I am eager to push up my Popularity, I feel like I could go for top 400 within a month, however... Ok we talk about "however" here, it is not something that is wrong, but it will become my distraction here.
One of my goals is to catch up my friends who are @arveno and @ramadhanight. Currently they are way above me because I have been absence for some weeks. And I have spent less, a lot less than them. So until I believe my dCity can catch up their dCity income rank, I think I should ignore any desire to chase up other stats.
That sound sucks, I feel bad too, but that's why I make this post subject as "FOCUS ON YOUR ROAD MAP". I am pushing up my Income first until I can compete with those two friends, else must wait after it.
and that closes my post today, see you next time...
