Hello everyone, talking about music is certainly one of those topics where many of us would undoubtedly spend endlessly sharing our tastes and everything it conveys to us. And while we love listening to songs for hours, there are times when even the video itself is so striking that it becomes even more of a reference than the song itself. So, reading the initiative brought to us by the Youhive community, the first thing that came to mind was to show you what I often spend hours watching with my sister, which turned into hours of fun for both of us.
Hola a todos, ciertamente hablar de música es uno de los temas donde sin duda estaríamos muchos sin parar compartiendo gustos y todo lo que nos transmitan, y si bien adoramos escuchar por horas canciones, hay ocasiones donde incluso el video de estas nos llega a resultar tan llamativo que se convierte incluso en referente más que la propia canción. Por lo que, leyendo la iniciativa que nos trae la comunidad de Youhive, se me vino a la mente como primera participación mostrarle lo que incluso suelo pasar horas viendo con mi hermana y que se convirtió en horas de diversión entre ambas.
And for this, as usual, I'll introduce you to the person responsible, who in this case is "Destripando la Historia," a Spanish YouTube channel formed by Pascu and Rodri. Since its inception, they have shown music-based content, both comedy and history, through whiteboard drawings, which have evolved into animations that represent the effort and commitment along with the evolution of the channel itself. Yes. I met them around 2017, if I remember correctly, and I must say that to this day I still listen to both the old and new songs.
Y para esto, como es costumbre, les presentaré al responsable, que en este caso es "Destripando la Historia", el cual es un canal de YouTube español formado por Pascu y Rodri, los cuales desde sus inicios han mostrado un contenido basado en músicas tanto de comedia como sobre historia a través de dibujos en pizarra, los cuales fueron evolucionando hasta convertirse en animaciones que representan el esfuerzo y empeño junto con la evolución del mismo canal. El sí. A ellos los conocí por ahí en 2017, si no recuerdo mal, y debo decir que hasta la fecha sigo escuchando tanto las antiguas como las nuevas canciones.
And the fun of the videos really catches my attention; they even have hidden details that they've kept in many of the videos, and for those of us who like to look for details beyond, we've been able to connect videos in very interesting ways, which is even more entertaining for me. As I mentioned before, it's a hobby I share with my sister, and we really like it. Obviously, there are as many of these videos as her favorites, as there are others that are mine, but we even played some of these for our uncles, where we had a few laughs. That's why I'm bringing you a small collection of them this time (obviously, not all of them are the ones I like).
Y es que lo divertido de los videos me llama mucho la atención; incluso tiene detalles ocultos que han mantenido en muchos de los videos y, para aquellos que nos gusta buscar detalles más allá, hemos podido conectar videos de forma muy curiosa, lo cual me es más entretenido. Como mencionaba antes, es un gusto que comparto con mi hermana y que nos gusta mucho. Obviamente, hay tantos videos que son sus favoritos como otros que son los míos, pero incluso llegamos a poner algunos de estos a nuestros tíos, donde nos echamos algunas risas y por eso les traigo esta vez un pequeño conjunto de estos (obviamente, no siendo todos los que me gustan).
One of our favorites, and every night, even when the power's out and we watch it on our already downloaded laptop, is where they tell the original version of the Rapunzel story (since they do tend to tell original or little-known versions of some classic tales). In this particular one, not only do we hear a catchy melody, but the theme of the drawings and how they're made is very hypnotic to me, in addition to some funny references that make me laugh.
Uno de los que más nos gusta, y cada noche, incluso cuando no hay luz y vemos en su laptop ya descargado, es en donde cuentan la versión original del cuento de Rapunzel (ya que sí suelen contar versiones originales o poco conocidas de algunos cuentos clásicos), y en este en particular no solo escuchamos una melodía pegajosa, sino que el tema de los dibujos y cómo los hacen me resulta muy hipnótico, además de algunas referencias divertidas que me hacen reír.
Another video is Bluebeard's. Although the music became popular and a trend for TikTok videos (where I participated), the original video has a touch of madness and irreverence that makes it very fun to watch. I remember laughing a lot the first time because of how crazy some of the scenes were, beyond the story itself.
Otro de los videos es el de Barba Azul, que aunque la música llegó a hacerse popular y tendencia para videos de TikTok (donde yo misma participé), el video original tiene un toque de locura e irreverencia que hace que verlo sea muy divertido. Recuerdo que la primera vez estuve riendo mucho por lo alocado de algunas escenas más allá de la misma historia que cuentan.
In the two already seen videos, you can see what some of the beginnings were like and what the videos were like in those years, which continue to be striking and evoke the same emotions. Over time, some were updated to more digital animations, while retaining the essence of the first ones, even without overshadowing them. Now, the others that follow are more in this artistic evolution.
En los dos ya vistos se puede ver lo que fueron algunos inicios y cómo eran los videos en esos años, los cuales siguen siendo llamativos y causando las mismas sensaciones. Ya con el tiempo, algunos fueron actualizados a animaciones más digitales, pero conservando la esencia de los primeros, e incluso no llegando a opacarlos; y ahora bien, los otros que siguen son más hacia esta evolución artística.
I must say that I had the Sun Wukong story glued to my memory for years, singing it, and it's one of the ones that included a lot of detail in the video. It already has references to the Dragon Ball drawing style, since this story is one of the core references of the well-known series. From here on, you can see the progress of the animation, and I really like the whole animation theme, which is why I spend hours looking at details and really appreciating these videos when I like them.
El de la historia de Sun Wukong debo decir que lo tuve pegado, cantando, por años, y es de los que ponía y detallaba mucho el video. De por sí tiene referencias al estilo de dibujo de Dragon Ball, ya que esta historia es una de las referencias bases de la serie conocida; ya a partir de acá se ve el avance de la animación, y es que me gusta mucho todo el tema de la animación, por lo que paso horas viendo detalles y apreciando mucho estos videos cuando me gustan.
And even when they touch on mythology and the gods, there's one video in which even the drawn and animated dance itself has more representation than the music; it's the Aphrodite video. Not only do they tell you the story, but from here on, they give more personality and style to the characters; in this case, Aphrodite is a must-see. The colors are disco, and the simple dance, although easy, makes us automatically do it when we hear the song and remember that moment in the video.
E incluso cuando tocan la mitología y los dioses, hay un video en el que incluso el mismo baile dibujado y animado tiene más representación que la música; es el de Afrodita. No solo te cuentan la historia, sino que a partir de acá le dan más personalidad y estilo a los personajes; a mencionar, en este caso, Afrodita. Los colores son de disco y el simple baile, aunque sencillo, hace que automáticamente lo realicemos al escuchar la canción y recordemos ese momento del video.
Freya's even has a more special touch, in my opinion, not only because of the reference to the song's base melody and the character's design, but something I like is that it again has these hidden details that, in this case, connect directly to old videos. They're there in the background, but, for example, the legendary "Mr. Rabbit" provides a small connection to a story that's in the background of the videos themselves
El de Freya incluso tiene un toque más especial, a mi parecer, de por sí la referencia en la melodía base de la canción y el diseño del mismo personaje, sino que algo que me gusta es que de nuevo tiene estos detalles ocultos que en este caso conectan directamente con videos antiguos; están allí de fondo, pero, por ejemplo, el mítico "Señor Conejo" está dando una pequeña conexión con una historia que está de fondo en los mismos videos.
As you can see, the music style isn't the same in all the videos, and I really like that at the video level, they give it this style and show these characteristic elements that become either a reference dance or a joke that only appears in these videos, or the simple design and reference to other franchises that make it fun. It also has a particular touch, both visually and audibly, so that we learn stories we might not have wanted to read, but that makes it fun.
Como ven, el estilo de música no es el mismoen todos los videos y me gusta mucho que a nivel de video le den este estilo y se vean estos elementos característicos que se convierten, o si bien en un baile referente como en algún chiste que solo aparece en estos, o el simple diseño y referencia a otras franquicias que lo hace divertido, además de que tiene un toque particular tanto visual como auditivo, de que nos aprendamos las historias que tal vez no queríamos leer, pero que de esta manera lo hace divertido.
And well, this is my first participation in this initiative; I feel this is a good way to start with these videos that generate interesting interaction and that I hope you enjoy.
