The old bookstore at the end of the street had been closed for years until today, and everyone wondered why.
There is a strange history attached to the old bookstore that people chose to bury and move on with their lives.
As people passed by and saw the bookstore open, their suspicious arose.
They started whispering to one another without entering and finding out why they were reopening it.
Mrs Smith, who couldn't just hold herself, walked straight to the community head to report the matter.
The community head was very surprised to hear about the bookstore opening as he assured Mrs Smith he would do something about it.
He dressed up and went to make inquiries on who was behind the bookstore reopening.
As he walked down the street, flashes of what happened years back started occurring to him.
How parents who reported their missing children were found on the bookstore lost.
How parents were lamenting and crying about what the bookstore caused a change in their children.
Lots of children greeted him as he was walking. He remembered how the streets were empty back then.
"No, this can't happen again," he said to himself, walking faster than before.
He got to the bookstore and was warmly greeted by a lovely lady, Miss Karen.
He began to state his concerns to the new owner of the bookstore.
Miss Karen assured her that things would be different, as she is also a teacher and could understand their concerns.
She took the community head round the bookstore and showed him interesting stories that would help their children.
She showed him her store timetable.
Thereby, the kids would abide by it and make out time for other activities, also helping their parents with house chores.
When he left, Miss Karen understood the cold treatment she received earlier from people in the community.
Indeed, they can be so dramatic here.
