Hello my friends 🙂
To all the Hive-ans who celebrate Christmas, wherever you are, I wish you: a Merry Christmas Eve (for Eurpope or Africa) or Merry Christmas (for Asia, Australia and New Zealand), and for America (northern and southern) Merry Christmas Day! 😀
I am a Christian, but Orthodox, whose church celebrates according to the Julian calendar, so now I can only wish all the best to everyone who celebrates and that I will wait another two weeks for "our, Orthodox" Christmas.
This year I had big commitments in the company and on working days I didn't have time to decorate the Christmas tree and our apartment.
Last weekend I had activities around the celebration organized by the company. And for this weekend, we had a plan to go to neighboring Hungary, to Budapest, where we would enjoy visiting Christmas markets and a spa center.
However, the engine failure in the car meant that we are not going anywhere this weekend.
While the car is locked in the garage and waiting for its turn to be inspected by the repairman, we are locked in the house, with sudden free time.
It's as if Santa Claus heard that we weren't going to decorate the Christmas tree, so he sent me a car breakdown as a gift... 😅
And so Santa Claus still got one more decorated Christmas tree.
We have been using artificial Christmas trees for a long time.
We have tried several times with the natural one, but it is so warm in the apartment that the natural Christmas tree dries out too quickly.
And it would really be a shame if such a beautiful Christmas tree and the decorations we bought were not brought out and placed around the house.
This morning I woke up earlier, cleaned up the house, vacuumed the area where we will keep the Christmas tree, went down to the basement and brought it to the apartment, as well as the boxes with decorations.
When I put it up, I called my wife to help me put up the light bulbs, and after that we put up the decorations together.
Since my childhood, I have carefully kept glass ornaments that are over 40 years old.
When one of them breaks, I feel very sorry, but what can be done, it happens.
So today I broke another one, silver, beautifully shaped...
I fell on only one ornament from the earliest period of my life. Bowl with a small yellow chicken. I only have that one left.
If/when he also suffers, I switch to some more modern ones, tighter.
But they are also beautiful.
We have successfully decorated the Christmas tree, I just need to install electricity for the lights from tomorrow, until the new year, as well as Orthodox Christmas. January 7 and the constitutional new year on January 14. The Christmas tree will beautify our home.
Christmas and New Year are celebrated as joyful days. In addition, our Christmas tree will cheer us up, along with figures of Santa Claus watching us from the TV stand.
