Splinterlands Social Media Challenge: Life to Death!

in Splinterlands4 days ago

Namaste to all the citizens of Splinterlands!🙏

In today's 🌟Splinterlands Social Media Challenge🌟, I'm going to share a simple strategy based on cards from the Life element. This isn't the first time I've battled with this element and these cards, but since the addition of a new card from the Conclave Arcana set to my deck, its impact has changed, as you'll notice in this battle.

Let's go straight to the new battlefield itself!

This was a Blood and Sunder ruleset battle with a 53 mana cap. Avina of the wolf is my personal favourite Archon from the Life element. However, all the elements are open for this particular battle, so I decided to go with the Life element for this battle. Simply because I was testing a few Conclave Arcana cards I won recently from the reward shop, and also because this Archon focuses on speed, which I needed for a few of my cards in this battle. The strategy was clear: I placed a heavy Arcana attack card as a tank, followed by my favourite grey card Pallus, then a card with Inspire Ability to strengthen these melee attackers, then a few other cards, mostly magic attackers. I wanted a team based on melee and magic attackers. The mana cap was enough to add as many brilliant cards as we could, so my focus was to build a team with as many powerful cards as possible. By powerful, I meant cards capable of delivering as many deadly attacks as possible and that too focused mainly on the enemy's health. You can see my lineup. Furthermore, using my Archon's powers, I decided to grant +2 speed to two of my cards.

Although the enemy wasn't weak, in fact, its first two cards were the most dangerous, I found the lineup lacking in positioning. For example, the second card on the enemy team was a melee attacker, which, due to the foundational rules of the melee attack type, can't perform from the second position without specific abilities. So, in this battle, this enemy card didn't perform any attacks until the first position card was knocked out, which took two rounds for my cards, but without losing a single card from my team. You probably know that Magic Card attacks typically directly damage health, and that's why I chose Magic Cards in my team. I recently won multiple Conclave Arcana cards from the reward shop. 2 of them were used in this particular battle, and their attacks had such an impact that when the battle began, every attack of those cards shocked out the enemy. Well, you might think that in this battle, the enemy looked particularly weak from the start, but you could imagine an equally strong enemy. You'll find that these cards will play a major role.

And similarly, on Battlefield, you'll see the enemy team crumble before your cards. Not only will you possess powerful cards, but their positioning will also make them attack-ready, allowing you to extract the best from each card. Remember, not only team building, but lineups are also crucial, ultimately ensuring your best performance on Battlefield. Victory and defeat are not in our hands, but creating the toughest opponent is, and that's what we should focus on. The choice of Magic attack cards along with Inspire also makes this team deadly. Enemy made a big mistake in his lineup as his second line of defense wasn't able to perform attacks, if that card was also in the attacking position then the result of this battle would have been different. Although my first-place melee attacker lost most of its health, none of my cards were knocked out by any enemy card.

You can guess the outcome of this battle, but I would still say that you should definitely watch its live action once because only then will you be able to understand this strategy and its importance deeply. seeing this battle in live action in particular can be incredibly rewarding. Because, in Splinterlands, you can't win a battle solely on better cards; you have to be both powerful and clever. It's essential to understand the implications of the rules and carefully build your team, taking all factors into account. As you finesse your strategies with better cards, you'll find Splinterlands is an ocean of rewards and a lot of fun. The deeper you delve, the more you'll benefit from it.🔥
